Re: On the topic of "ratting someone out"
You don’t have to “rat” someone out right away. I usually send subtle, but effective, messages to the person bunny hopping. For example, last week I shot someone bunny hopping on Fallen. I was playing support so I ran over to his limp carcass and proceeded to fire all my ammo right next to his head. I hope his volume was up real high. It was my way of saying, “I don’t appreciate your bunny hopping.”
Sure it’s not the mature thing to do…but it felt great.

Re: On the topic of "ratting someone out"
My first time on the server I was warned for "suicide tactics"... Well, I came from the pubbin/league/ladder life of kill any way you can.. bounce/flop/hop/ anything to stay alive... I never really got into the "bunnyhoppin to survive" tactic, yet I did use it now and again. I have come around.. I enjoy the way the game is played here.... the way the game should have been created.
I also have a bad habit of texting , "LOL" and such things (nothing obscene).. My favorite has always been "Bunnyhopping will not save you from DEATH"(me, get it? hehe).. I have been told by an admin, not to do this, so I will try and change
.
I dont have a problem with telling my squadmates not to hop around. I dont have a problem with "ratting" anyone out to an admin. :/
Maybe a kick with a message saying.. "You have been kicked for excessive bunnyhopping, server rules".. this will give them the option to rejoin the server or move on.

Re: On the topic of "ratting someone out"
Okies I have been a pubby for half a year now and I know how harsh and hard the competition game goes, those kids are just crazy for their rank and their K/D ratio. I know that some forums like BF2tracker don't really care fore K/D ratio, but sometimes it shows or the wish for someone to have a better ratio comes up. Those guys mostly disperse out alone that's why they know how to survive, they have lightning fast reflexes and are twitchy and they got that with practice, they try to learn to not relly on somebody else, cause they know that no one will help them mostly and that mentality kinda sticks.
I can't turn back now anymore, I don't care for my rank, I don't care for my K/D ratio, cause the TG server is the only thing I am going to and I just fallen in love with TG and tactical gamming. This was the thing I always dreamed of and wanted and the PR mod just made my eyes pop out, Vanilla BF is child's candy to this. And I can't wait to try my hands on a tacmod game.
I will try to use the SOP's more lately, cause I don't see them in use much and try to promote that, cause that really gives me the kick, and playing with some guys together... cause playing alone can be boring and not so effective :/
and yes... on the topic. If someone doesn't follow the rules, by my opinion they should be kicked, that is fully lawful. But on pubing that was a valid tactic to survive a barrage of ammo. Yet I learned how to dispatch bunny hoppers, and I mean "LEARNED" it.
We should have training regiments for anti bunny hoping squads or specialists:
Following scenario:
opfor Squadleader: requesting bunny hoppers to this location.
opfor Commander: request granted.
5 minutes later
Bunnyhoppers: lolololol *jumping and gunning towards our guys*
Squadleader: oh darn they are going at us, requesting anti bunnyhoppers to this location!!
Commander: request granted!
