Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
It looks like Armed Assault may have snagged up quite a few of the tac mod players for Sunday night games. ArmA has a weekly event on Sundays.
So my question goes out to all of you tac mod players (past and present).... Is there still a desire to have a Tactical Mod night?
Thoughts / feedback?

Re: Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
I never get a chance to play it because by the time I have free time on Sundays, the server is empty. But yeah, I'd like to play it some time.

Re: Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
Absolutely I want to play TacMod. I went on there tonight (Sunday, Jan.28) and there was about 11 others on when I joined. When I left there was 8. The maps are new to me, so it is really cool. I believe if we got those players familiar with BF2 but haven't played the TacMod maps interested, there will be more in attendance. Right now BF2142 and PoE, as well as WoW, are getting a lot of players. Maybe holding internal scrims on the TacMod maps would be a way to spark interest.

Re: Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
For sure. Went in tonight but there was only about 12 people, and the next map there was about 6. I love Tacmod though, wish there was a better showing. Same for PRM.

Re: Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
Ok, so looking at the list of players from the AAR who showed up, we need to figure out a time that we can get everyone on at the same time. We seem to have a good mix of Euro players and US players.
Would people be able to play if we started earlier on Sunday? Would another day/night work better?

Re: Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
Just shut down the ArmA server on Sunday nights. Give me the word, and I can arrange that...

Re: Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
I have some interest for tacmod still, as it still offers the best gameplay and maps.
However this week a new PRRM should be coming out and I will be more eager to check out that this week I guess.
I have no preference for a day of the week, as I can't say a week in advance when I will play. Moving the start time a bit forward would help me though If I can play. So I second Grunt's remark on that. What it's like to play online games as a grown-up:http://s3.amazonaws.com/theoatmeal-i...e_gaming/1.jpg

Re: Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
Let me put it this way... If a server was set up that ran Tacmod constantly, I would be there everynight. Even if no one else showed up, I would play by myself shooting at walls and trees, I love Tacmod that much. I vote we shut down every other server and just run Tacmod. Yes, I have A LOT of desire in it. I can't get enough.

Re: Interest levels in the Tactical Mod?
Bingo. There are a lot of things about TacMod I still enjoy and actually prefer but the inaccuracy/non-lethality of the weapons compared to ArmA and PRM makes TacMod very frustrating for me to play. A dealbuster, if you will. If we had 24+ people on the server those shortcomings wouldn't be as noticeable but with eight people trying to snipe each other at long ranges it becomes apparent very quickly. Shooting someone in the face should kill them, not just alert them to your position so they can return fire.
That being said, I'll probably be playing ArmA on Sundays unless the TacMod server looks like it has 20+ people on it at one time. Or if the only open slots on the ArmA server are seagulls, which is what happened yesterday...
