Re: memorable moments of bf2
SloppyJoe can attest to the validity of my memorable moments. I have two of them, both occuring last night and carrying on into the early morning.
Moment 1
Who: Myself, SloppyJoe, and 4 pubbies (singaporekid, seeys and two other names that I've forgotten)
What: Using the Littlebird to transport my squad around the map
When: A time period spanning at least two hours (it was a really long round)
Where: Qwai River
Why: We were bored, it was fun
How: Bored ingenuity.
The round started with our squad just running around and doing the normal thing, but that quickly changed once we got bored after about 15 minutes of not seeing any Chinamen at all. Sloppy and I then remembered using the Littlebird a few days ago solely as an anti-armor weapon by putting 4 AT guys (2 light and 2 heavy AT, one on each skid) on it and flying above the Chinese armor and shooting it. But this time we wanted to be a little more dangerous/inventive. Enter the C4 Littlebird. Our squad managed to kill no less than three pieces of armor during the round and countless Chinese infantry that made the mistake of constantly clustering up at the Fishing Village and the Government Office. In one particularly daring move, the pilot (myself) managed to get himself shot out of the helo, but while it was spiralling out of the air 'StrkTm seeys' managed to kill 4 Chinamen with a C4 charge before the Littlebird crashed into the flag and all aboard were killed (the crash and resulting explosion killed another Chinamen).
Moment 2
Who: Same people. Add CAS117 to the squad.
What: Attempting to do the same thing, but on Kyongan'Ni this time.
When: A few minutes later.
Where: Kyongan'Ni
Why: It was so much fun the last time.
How: Pilot error.
The round got off to a bad start to begin with. I kept getting shot out of the cockpit in the LB and the squad would die in the crash, or we would have to wait for a helo since the other teammembers would take them all and do silly stuff with them. Not that what we were doing was silly. We never do silly things on the TG server. =p
But the particular moment in question happened about halfway into the round. The Littlebird finally spawned, the entire squad (except for CAS117 who was at that time piloting a Blackhawk making runs back and forth to the Outpost CP) had -just- managed to load into the Littlebird, and then we hear the worst noise ever: the sound of a fully loaded Blackhawk taking off and swiping it's tailrotor into the side of the Littlebird as it attempts to avoid a group of trees, causing the Littlebird to explode and for our entire squad and numerous other pubby 'Blue Dots' to be killed. I cannot recall exactly what was said, but the squad's VOIP channel was blaring with nearly every cuss word that I have ever heard and insults were being hurled at the extremely embarased CAS117. No one punished him, to my knowledge, but his Teamwork score was pretty much annihilated along with our Littlebird as the game attributed numerous Teamkills to him. It was hilarious.

One of my funniest moments recently had to be Santa racing around on the dirtbike in Al-Basrah until he crashed and blew up...had the squad laughing til the tears came. Look around hard enough and you'll find it documented on film in a recent forum post by emale. What a hoot...

Santa also served up a classic PoE moment recently when he called out in chat for the opposing team to attack Watermill. About 1 second later, Santa was killed by a sniper who then replied to the challenge in chat.

Re: memorable moments of bf2
Icky, what made that funnier was that a split second before he killed me, he typed something along the lines of "Goodbye, Santa". When i read that all i could say was "Sh..." and my head was blown off.
Another good time is when the 7th defended camp in woodlands by sleeping in the tents. Hilarious AND effective!

Re: memorable moments of bf2
Last week, Bisclaveret and I were goofing around in Al Basrah on the forklift. Eventually I found a garbage pile with board and proceeded to jump it...did a flip...landed upside down and blew us both up. After laughing insanely for about five minutes, I managed to summarize the experience:

Re: memorable moments of bf2
This one happened to me shortly after I stated playing BF2. Expirement626 helped me build a system and got me into the Vanilla BF2 thing. At work he kept talking about Santa and Robocop and all these strange named people on the server and how deadly they were supposed to be. Well after a month of playing single player I figured I was ready to school some folks online, yeah right.
The very first map I ever played was Strike at Karkand and I was getting tooled. I ended up behind the building at the Square and as you all know there is that little bush back there. I glanced at the bush and then up at the top of the ladder checking for bad guys. Well when I looked back to that damn bush this freaking apparition, ghost, demon thing appears out of the foliage and charges me. You all know that the ghilly suit makes someone almost invisible (especially if you've never seen it in game) until they move. Well Santa was laying there and charged out of the damn thing when I turned around. It startled me so bad that I jumped out of my computer chair and stood there while he knifed me. I swear I heard a freaky ghost like intake of breath when he moved!!! I was PISSED! I spent the rest of that round tracking him down and every time I thought I knew where he was he'd sneak out and knife me again.
The next memorable moment was several months ago. I came around a corner in one of the swamp maps and there stands a guy with a shotgun. I killed him and it showed up as Robocop. I freaked and dove under the little porch thing to hide. Well by the time I crawled out the flag had turned back to the bad guys so I peeked around the same corner and saw another guy with his back to me, so I shot him. You guessed it it was Robo again. In that little area I think I kept bumping into him as he was spawning in and I ended up killing him 5 or 6 times before I ran out into the contryside to hide. Well we all know how deadly Robo is with that damn scattergun and he killed me over and over and over and over before I could find a great place to hide. Every time he killed me I saw the trademark "LOL" on the screen. It was terrible. *laugh*
