    Angry An inconvenient truth.

OK, so you're lazily bunny-hopping along, not a care in the world, and then you see the red skull & crossbones icon in your path. What do you do? You walk or drive across the icon without giving it a second thought. And what happens?

    ...nothing.

The skull & crossbones can mean anti-vehicle mines, and if you're infantry you will walk past without getting hurt. The skull & crossbones could mean claymores, and if you're in a vehicle you'll drive past without getting hurt. The skull & crossbones can mean C4 packs, and they aren't triggered by infantry or vehicles.

So no matter what the situation, there's (roughly, obviously) a 2/3 chance that the red skull & crossbones poses you no harm whatsoever. And this is why people walk into claymores and drive over landmines. Not because they're stupid, but because the indicator is stupid. There should be three different indicators for the three very different threats. Would you want a map that has the same indicator for "WARNING! Bridge is out!" and "No-Fly Zone"?

Or how about a damage indicator that lights up when
    A) You've been shot
    B) Santa TK'd someone halfway across the map

No, sir. Put an end to the madness. Make claymores a viable weapon, for once. Put an end to the "you just inched your tank around a C4 pack". Put an end to the "I hope that's not a landmine...sorry guys".

Let our people be free again.

i thought you could only see the cross and skull bones if it waz a friendly clay, mine, c4???? of course you gona drive over a friendly and not get hurt. (unless there turned on for everyone) the one i walk into is the ones i don't see skull and crossbones and usually the enemies.

    am i missing something here????

No cap, you're right. If you see the icon, it's a friendly drop. You cant see the icons for enemy mines/c4/claymores or nobody would ever get waxed trying to sneak up on a sniper.

But don't most the TG servers have friendly fire on for Mines and Claymores? I know the POE2 server does.

In that case Cappy, it is an issue; because even though you still see the indicator, Friendly explosives WILL kill you. Makes playing engineer alot harder since it is hard to convince the dork from another squad that you are trying to DEFEND this flag, so quit trying to run off with the dingo and jacking up my tk count.

I ended a round at -8 once cause somebody just wouldn't wise up...even when I started running out in front of his jeep waving my wrench in his face LOL
