I always figured, given the choice, VOIP was the more important, but I only play POE2 at TG.
The teamspeak channel is used more for camaraderie between rounds. It is by no means a necessity. We understand that some players are not able to use TS and BF2 due to technical complications.

In-game VoIP is still used for communication between team members.

Got CQB installed. Couldn't find a live server but spent a few minutes with single player. Looks cool.

I thought it was hilarious that not only did they have scooters, but you can ride as a passenger on the back and fire from there...lol

The police car with working siren was worth a chuckle too.

Sounds like a blast. Alas, a start time of 8EST means I have to be sleepig at that point.

Any chance of these events being started a little earlier so us folks in the GMT (BST at the moment, GMT+1) can get a look in?

I have the mod installed, but I haven't had time to play it yet. I'm looking forward to this.

I'll probably be able to be there, though. I ought to be getting back from Phoenix soon enough.

I will be there. I really liked the attention to detail in these maps. The overall mod isn't polished, but there is some good stuff.

    Re: Monday Night Madness returns

There are problems with the mod but they can be overcome. I have played it quite a bit and found some things that might help administer the server.

One is that the Underdrain map is not good. It's a huge maze. I manage to get on this map even with about 20 players and still everyone was wandering around lost and unable to find flags or opponents.

The east fuji map is too awesome for it's own good. It needs to be setup so there are two rounds of this map at a time and the players auto switch teams. The rounds go quick and everyone wants to play it again immediately.

The three suburban maps are very nice but to me it seems like they are all the same, just a different block in the same neighborhood.

Last problem I see it the the assault weapons are very inaccurate. It's not really a big deal because they are not the best choice anyway for most situations. The MAC11 is however fugging awesome.

I think to fill the server and keep it going would mean to ditch Underdrain, run East Fuji for two rounds at a time, and pick the best of the three suburban maps to rotate in between.

    See you tonight.

I downloaded it hoping there was a Prelude in there, but it's just a crappy Skyline. Apparently it has about the some HP as the scooters, as it goes pretty slow.

I'll try and be on tonight.

That's how everyone responds the first time they hear it! After hearing it non-stop for 45 minutes, the response changes a little.

When we played on this map, it didn't seem like a maze at all. We easily advanced from flag to flag. I can't imagine trying this mod without trying this map, as it is easily the most unique BF2 map I've seen.

It won't harm us to try it anyway.

BTW Corporate your other concerns were already taken care of last night. Tickets were raised since stock is really low and the two East Fuji versions are spread out a bit in the rotation.(which of course we may not even follow anyway)
