Traveling Back In Time
Sorry if you read this post before. I forgot to search before posting, so I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything obvious.
Anyway, I'm a BF2142 regular, and I finally picked up BF2 to get a little change in my life. I'm wondering what the pros and cons are of the two mods? I don't need an essay (although if you want to provide on, that's fine), but just a little info to differentiate to see which large download i want to try first.
Thanks!

Re: Traveling Back In Time
Well if you're talking about Project Reality and Point of Existence 2, then I would say download them both as they are both excellent mods. PR has a steeper learning curve, but the server is packed 24/7 or at least most of the day, so therefore you can jump right in and play. If you're used to only playing 2142, then expect PR to be a lot slower in terms of gameplay.
POE2 is a little more run and gun. You may be more used to this style, so make sure to hop on in the evenings to get a taste of it.|TG-12th| jmaker

Make sure to enter your BF2 ID in your forum profile to claim your reserved slot in BF2/PoE2/PR.

Re: Traveling Back In Time
done and thanks. i'll try out PR first simply because it sounds dissimilar to bf2142 and as I fully intend on BF2142 being my "main" game here, the difference may be nice. i'll be sure to get POE soon too.

Re: Traveling Back In Time
As I mentioned in the thread Tempus linked above, I found both mods to be a lot of fun, but Point of Existence 2 caters more to my style of play. The server may not have as much traffic as the other, but the rounds I have played on it were well worth the wait. The similarities between Battlefield 2142 and PoE2 made it quite easy to jump into a game and not feel totally lost, as well. However, I still miss all the red dots on my mini-map from the various scanners provided in the future.
