I absolutely agree. This is nothing more than a celebration of what has become a pretty long history for many of us. Enjoy it for what it is. The next similar event probably won't happen for another 12 months.

I personally found it interesting how people played. Some went straight for the whoring devices, as if to release some long pent-up feelings. Others took to the highest of altitudes in their choppers and dropped on flags as though it were an instinctive self-sacrificing ritual. Many made well coordinated and careful attacks, applying some new tricks learned in their mods of choice.

I plan on making it to a full year and more without ever having entered a vanilla game. Until EA/Dice takes some interest in fixing what they broke, it's irredeemable, IMHO.

so, how did this go? i miss the tg days of bf2, those long long nights chasing my squad leader around on karkand, and shooting santa in the face with a shotgun

I thought it was a lot of fun. It was a great break from all the other mods and games. The maps brought back a lot of memories and were tons of fun. I would love to see it happen again.

depends on whats being played really, im back for the summer now but still have my hands full with work over the coming months, whats the flavour of choice right now?

Well, I don't know you from Adam and I can't echo Drizzid's response per se, except to say, "Pleased to meet you," but in response to your question PR is going pretty strong at the moment and draws the bulk of TG's participation in BF2. However, PoE is expected to receive an update in the near future and will likely be followed by a resurgence in popularity (Yay!!

Xink, Braided pretty much covered it except he forgot about Armed Assault. It is beginning to pick up in popularity. So there's a few choices you have to choose from, it's really up to you and what you are looking for. It's TG so it is hard to go wrong. Hope to see you on the battlefield soon.
