General SOP Content and Information (Please Read!)
Welcome to the Tactical Gamer BF2 server SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) Forum.
What are SOP's?
SOP's, or Standard Operating Procedures, are a pre-defined set of practices and rules of engagement, that we encourage all players on any public Tactical Gamer BF2 server to follow at all times. They are designed to maximize efficiency thereby minimizing team casualties, while substantially increasing the odds of achieving complete mission success. Most armed services throughout the world implement SOP's in various formats, although generally there is a recognizable commonality that's easily transferable between most countries and different branches of the service.
The real world versus the virtual gaming world presents some serious challenges in directly transferring SOP's to a small computer screen. A good example of this are "hand signals" which are used extensively by special forces teams, but almost impossible to implement in our virtual gaming world. Therefore, the SOP's outlined here for use on the Tactical Gamer BF2 servers, are a compilation of real world special forces techniques specifically created or otherwise adapted for on-line game play in our computerized virtual BF2 world.
The SOP's listed in this forum should be considered as "living documents" in the sense that they are an on-going iterative and interactive set of practices. In other words, they may be modified and tuned over time as the players using the Tactical Gamer BF2 servers become more experienced and adept at mission handling. Some may become obsolete due to technology changes or actual software modifications to the BF2 game itself. Therefore, you should visit here often to look for changes in our SOP's, or the publication of new SOP's to handle additional squad requirements.
This forum is Read Only and therefore if you'd like to hold any discussion about the various Tactical Gamer BF2 server SOP's, please post your topics in the Tactical Gamer Gaming message board's Battlefield 2 - General Discussion.
This is the primary forum where we'll be making important announcements about Tactical Gamer's BF2 gaming environment, as well as documenting our system rules of conduct and behavior. We would ask all members to check it each time they log onto Tactical Gamer's forums for any new information or changes, that may have occurred since their last visit.
Thank you for your participation on Tactical Gamer's BF2 servers and we hope you enjoy TG's BF2 "Gameplay for Grown-Ups" environment.

Just to clarify, the SOPs listed in this forum group are best practices that are encouraged but are not required. If players make an attempt to use these practices and train others on their usage, the game play will be greatly enhanced.
