Guys flying the aircraft in bf 1942 was easy as long as you had a flight pad or a good stick, then why can't you fly as well in bf 2 or in bf 2142. BECAUSE- you probably use the throttle on the gunship or any other attack helicopter (hint if you have a very high end flight control system set up with a throttle on/off switch, turn it off); if you have not tried, the transport can work with a throttle and does need a stair step approach in gaining altitude (or else you will fly backwards).

I suggest learning to fly helicopters in BF2 or BF Vietnam before you go and try to fly the gunships in BF 2142. For some reason, merging the attack helicopter and an attack aircraft does take longer to master.

Pirate Wing is currently one of the most active platoon. I play regularly fri, sat, sun. (maybe too regularly!!) I have seen at least half of my members in-game during last week. We are also the smallest platoon with just 7 members.
We are still looking for more people!! Yes even if you don't know how to fly, we can teach you! Even though P. Wing specializes in aircraft, we still group up as infantry on non-aerial maps.

The COD4 Irregulars also had a practice in while i was still in the Irregs. Im curious to see what happened after i left though, i think it went under? They Irr tag seemed to have disapered

He posted his original post in November of 2007. XCannon has not been on for some time now, too.
