on patrol

Well, I might not be playing 2142 or one of the BF2 mods right now. But that doesn't mean I'm sitting around drinking grog all day.
I'm out there everyday keeping the friendy skys safe

Re: on patrol

Correct, it is flight sim FS9 and I am on a pvt server. That is an default AI ship, A Boeing MD-80, not a jumbo jet. I was on my way to tank with a KC-135 stratotanker when I came up on this ship and I did a close fly by and did a SS for my wallpaper collection. I just thought it would be neat to post it for ya all.
If ya wondering where I was, I had left Fairchild Air force base in washington and was heading to Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming. Fairchild is home to the 141st air refueling wing.
I'll post a pic of my AC-130U Spooky later.
Note: 90% of my aircraft (over 5 gigs worth) have full VC that is fully clickable and flyable including take off/landings from the VC.

Re: on patrol

Thanks, I been flying flight sims since they came out on 5 1/2 Fdd, yes I still have those two old large disk and drives to run it, in my old 286 box. lol tho I don't think she boot up.
I just came across and new interesting package for FS9 (soon to be out for FSX too) called FsPassenger, adds a whole new outlook and way to fly with your virtural air flleet. There's nothing like having a 737 that has an engine fire at FL250 and hearing the screams from the virtural passengers behind you or landing in a massive thunderstorm and seeing the info box on the passengers showing that 80% are fearing for their lives!

Sounds a bit... weird. Must be a bit unnerving to find that your passengers don't trust you with their lives

If you were in one of my custom thunderstorms, ya scream too
Now FS9's thunderstorms are wimpy to say the least, you see a storm cell here, and 20 miles away or so you see another and so on. Well I have a addon that changes all that, makes the storms true to lifelike including the lighting, no spoty storms all over, you can set up a massive storm cell based on a real life one and fly that weather. Same goes for my winterstorm mod.
here is the link to FsPassenger's site: http://www.fspassengers.com if ya want to read about that Addon mod.
Now excuse me, Our FA/18's have a TOT over bagdad in 45 min. I love carrier launches

Reminds me of a joke from the airport:

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Haha, thats great. Really made me laugh. One of my other favourite airport jokes is this (if you're not from Britain you might not get this, so sorry. Just substitute the word 'manchester' for a rough area of a city where you are likely to get shot or mugged)

A man is moving through baggage control, the woman on the X-ray machine says to him "Do you have any animals in your baggage?"
"No"
"Are you carrying any drugs or illegal items?"
"No"
"Where are you flying to?"
"Manchester"
"Are you carrying any knives, guns, or otherwise dangerous of offensive weapons?"
"No"
"God help you..."

Also, sorry if you are from Manchester!
(Joke was from a tv programme, can't remember the name)
