Can each platoon get access to a private forum right here? For example, Pirate Wing forum would be available to just guys in my platoon.

Off topic: I saw a lot of my guys on the PR server last night. Too bad we wouldn't squad up.

I dont think non SMs can have access to private forums, so that would probably be a no...but we could use one of those sites that has forums for free, like freepowerboards.com. Ive tried it before and Its pretty easy to set up.

My old clan had that, it was actually pretty effective and kept the pilot area of the clan in touch. My old clan was small but similar to TG because it had lots of inhouse sqauds each with its own private forum SM or not you could get in it. With a PW of course.

I messed around with freepoewerboards tonight and made a bit of a sample forum. The sample can be found here. Feel free to register if you want. I made one earlier but the site seemed to not want to have people view it..I think it's because I deleted all the ad stuff from it :P

I like the forum that you created but since that forum is on a different site people will have less incentive to visit it. I'm wanting to know if we can create and integrate the platoon forums here within the irregulars subsection.

Basic1

you could make some sorts of small freewebs kind of site for each platoon, or something, set up a small free website, because thats easy, and make it sign up only for each, passworded forums on that site.

you could even make a small myspace or something, facebook? bebo? and have accountsset up on that for each one, so that contact within that is private and easy.

just some simple time saving ideas, that dont put the TG out of their way..

ya, i like the freewebs idea, because i didnt know what to do on kill's site. As well, i am OK at making freewebs sites. So if you want me to i could set one up for the Pirate Wing.

Also, if you do want me to, i would need a admin name for the site which is the same as the site address

I don't think it can happen here, Xcannon, but Tactical Conflict has a private Irregs forum that none of us are currently using. You'll need to sign up separately there to be a forum member. Try it out and see what comes of it. I might even be able to set up something for platoons; I'm not sure how far my rights extend there.
Please forgive the mess--lots of posts from last years BFCL season got merged and left behind a bunch of redirects; I have to click 3-4 times each to get them to go away, and am putting the brainless task off for now. Start posting and they'll move down the page.

Thats a great idea, i though of that myself but i couldnt remember what the site was called. I am registered there because i was taking part in the BFCL. If anyone knows the PW to the Irreg forum please PM me it.
