Question Where is HatefulSix?

The sergeant HatefulSix is not around for some reason. I was wondering why the Black Patches have not been run by a sergeant actively playing Battlefield 2142. Can some one tell me why? And what happened to HatefulSix, because if he is not with us or is MIA or is on shoreleave, then we need a sergeant for now. And can we get a list of current platoon members of the Black Patches? I am not trying to be a pain, but it would be nice to hear from other Black Patches and SHOULD THE Black Patches PUT THE PLATOON INITIALS IN THE DOG TAGS FOR BF2142?

Ok, I am done asking/ requesting/ demanding.

Like I said above, I think HatefulSix is playing his 360.

The reason I'm not playing 2142 is because whenever I load a map now, no matter what server/game mode, my game freezes up when it gets to about 50%. I have reinstalled 2142, the newest patch (1.41?), and even updated PB. Trust me, I would be playing again if I didnt have this problem.

Irreg roster, the platoon each member is in can be found on the column on the far right

Thats something to ask HatefulSix and/or an Officer
----------------------------------------

I'm not 100% sure this is all right, but I bet one of the other Officers/Sergeants can tell you the real reason

Re: Where is HatefulSix?

I'm still here, checking the forum, usually once every two days. As far as playing, well, real life has taken over in that respect. I work steady midnights, so when I come home in the morning, I sleep till around 4pm. Then I get up just in time for my wife to leave for work, so it's up to me to look after my two children (5yr boy, & 11mth girl). I look after them till my wife gets home, and I have to leave for work just as soon as she gets through the door. Essentially, I may have an hour to an hour and a half, after the kids to go to bed to get things done (pay the bills, fix things around the house, answer e-mails, study for more gov't exams). Doesn't really leave me any time for anything else, does it?

Trust me, there is nothing else I would rather be doing than playing BF2142. I actually managed to get to play about 3 hrs worth over the Christmas holidays. That's been it.

As far as the officers, they know that I formally bowed out the position of Sergeant several MONTHS ago. They asked me if I could stick around till they sort things out.... well, things are still the same.

So, although I may be still on the list, I have no realy official funtion as a sergeant anymore, and I haven't for quite some time.

I'm still a part of the Irregs, and always will be, but I'm just a regular "Joe Player".

I understand to an extent the importance of life over gaming. How is your little ones? Is the one teething?

Thumbs up Re: Where is HatefulSix?

Ever thought of backing up your data for all of your other 'stuff' and do a system repair or just plain old reformat?

Irreg roster, the platoon each member is in can be found on the column on the far right

Thanks but is that up to date?

That's something to ask HatefulSix and/or an Officer

Wondering, what will happen to the Black Patches?

Re: Where is HatefulSix?

Basic, it is not based on join date but rather on maturity and reliability for rank. Only the early membership recognition is for an honorable personal recognition that can be displayed and it will not get you far.

Sorry to rain on your parade.

Re: Where is HatefulSix?

All the officers currently in any way active (that would be SSA and I) are working to "reboot" the Irreg officer/sergeant corps and get it functioning at athe level intended. We are also working with the leaders of other IHS to try and set up a more formal system which will help achieve the original intent of the Irregulars.

COntrary to what the focus has been for quite some time, the chief aim of the Irregulars are to introduce gamers who are new or just basic |TG| to a higher level of learning tactics, squad-based play and teamwork with a somewhat regular group of people that can begin to gel as a group and form the bonds that lead to the formation of new In-House Squads.

Our former Officers, Wimpinator, eGoatboy and Dick Blonov, formed the 6th, for example. We are in the process of evaluating the Irregulars' current situation (rather a shambles in several respects) and coming up with ideas for solutions.

No more can be said about that at this time, it's still in preliminary stages. The take-home message is that we Irr COs and the leaders of other IHSs are aware of the breakdown in the organization, the fact that the Irregs are bigger than ever with fewer Officers than ever, and that something needs to be done quickly to save it from a downward spiral.

Supporting membership should be a goal for all of us, and is the driving factor for TG to continue growing, developing and providing more servers and games for all of us who live here when we game.

Shut up Griff... Maybe I can a soldier out of you yet.

Ok.... Basic, enough with the jokes, it is really wearing out your welcome.

Anyways, I do believe only a few of the yearlings or younger are or would be able to help... many of us just want to have a group to play with (a free IHS). A sentiment of having a free IHS for people unable to pay or people who are not on enough is what sounded great for many Irregulars. If we lose that free membership, many will not know what to do. Has any one considering making a proposal of breaking up the Irregulars into independent specialty groups that in and of themselves were IHSs but were in a union labeled as the Irregulars...

What I'm saying is, why don't we divide up the Irregulars into groups (like take those platoons), make those groups into IHSs , and label these new squads as Irregular (insert squad name here), and have these IHSs formed in an Irregular Union that has only a small Central Command that is only for the use of communicating between the Irregular IHSs and assigning tasks for each IHS (as in one group trains new assault TG members, another is teaching spec ops.... or just setting up good old IHS matches). What this is suggesting is that the Irregulars, though a home for people unable to pay, would then be able to help out new comers even beyond the TGU because it would allow the new comers who just graduated to get a good taste of the battlefield tactics and strategy actually put into use. These squads' leaders would be appointed by the small Central Command consisting of the original Irregular officers and any other people they want to help.

Re: Where is HatefulSix?

good idea, but not so practical, as that would mean a hell of a lot more officers, when all that is needed is a reshuffle and a few more people to lend a hand.. one group is good enough, and doesnt waste space.. theres only a handful of us that constantly speak on here anyway, its just part of being in the irrs community that brings people here...

as long as the wiki paperwork side of things is eventually sorted out, and maybe if we take more into account when welcoming more members... giving them posisble trial period, so its not "EXTREMELY" easy to get in... perhaps, if the requirements state that a basic infantry badge or somehting is needed.. stops any old person joining..?

and besiege, "Ok.... Basic, enough with the jokes, it is really wearing out your welcome."

thats a bit rude... no need for it... besides, you have no place to tell me how to act, and its necesary to keep people laughing, if only at you.. my welcome is just fine.. somebody needs to use the forums.. its what their for, fun and communication... i could just as easily say you telling me how to act is wearing out your welcome couldnt i

anyway, feel free to continue the red vs blue stuff, thats cool

later

Re: Where is HatefulSix?

Basic, it is how you joke in threads that don't have any place for joking in. I get offended when one does not know how to keep a joke, though well intended, out of a serious thread.

Now, I do not mind when you joke in jolly other threads. Please don't think I hate you- far from it, but sometimes it becomes a grind.

Re: Where is HatefulSix?

if your trying to tell me to keep jokes out of this thread, when you were the first one to post any sort of joke here.. then how doesnt this apply to you.. i was following others lead... and axis knows very well that i always take note when he says "basic" so therefore it was meant to bring a bit of cheer to his serious post, while still being noteable how serious it is, and then stating that i wouldnt mind helping... (and anyway, saying about basic was a statement not a joke)

your speaking out of place yourself, and if you dont like it, and it "grinds" on you, simply ignore it..

i dont mean to argue.. i just would prefer you dont make un necesary comments, that will not benefit anybody, about my personality... maybe if it was a serious problem id take that in, but really its just your personal dislike of those jokes that made you say it..

sorry but you dont have place to say that..

jokes lighten the mood in any thread.. a thread can have a serious tone and still feature good humour.. because it makes it bareable..

i didnt take note at any time that you were superior to me, so id prefer you not to issue me orders at this time.. no further discussion on this either i dont want anything made out of it, just my view heard..

note to officers, sorry about this im sure besiege and i didnt intend this to be public..

and i dont have any problems with you either besiege.. your good fun.. just less of the digs ok

sing if your happy and you know it to get back into the happy spirit..

OK basic, sorry for being a jerk. I mistook a lot of your posts lately. Sorry. Though we may have differing views on some things, but hey, we can be friends.
