Um, BeSeige, that's the kind of thing that you put on of these at the end. Sheesh.
Well, the bosses have been 'out of bed' for over a week now. What you should ask yourself is, should I assume that they aren't doing anything because they haven't made an announcement?
You all should know that we are being careful to get everything ready to go, so that when we announce the next phase in the reorganization, it will be ready to roll, and not fall flat.

It's not like you Platoons were getting together every week for training or squadding up together all the time, so to anyone who says they will really miss the old Platoon system, I say: so what planet have you been playing on?

I agree!! I would like the same people on my squad all the time. Once you get the hang of how everyone fights, supports, heals and repairs, you play more tactful and efficient and rule whatever you are doing on a map! Thats the way to go guys!! Lets light this firecracker!!

the old platoon system did exactly what i expected, it brought groups of us closer together, gave us a sense of purpose, and helped us organise ourself given the oppertunity, in scrims etc, it also made ti easier to chose buddies to squad up with on random gaming days

One stupid thing we did- we did not seek permission to put a platoon letter for identification purposes on our tags.

@ Basic1--The re-org shouldn't be diminishing any of those benefits--the reworked Platoons will be even better at getting those things done. That's out goal anyway.

To all: This is a good time and place to be discussing what is important to you in The Irregulars Platoon or what you'd like to see. Also what are you afraid of? Things you would hate to see happen or think it would be a shame to lose?

Be specific in what things (good or bad) do, or what the causes of them are. Writing is a difficult way for some to express ideas, so if you want an 'appointment' to talk to us on TS, PM us and ask, it might be doable--except for Ikill, who still apparently doesn't have a microphone.

I won't be stating what any decisions about ideas will be, but I can weigh in, tell you what has been discussed, and make general comments. The ideas of badge ID for Platoons has been tossed around, as well as the idea of Platoon-specific forums. What other ideas/concerns are out there?

well if platoons are being done as games now, the letter in tag idea is pointless, and so is private forums... but i do think the irrs should be put in a more general location, because were definetly not BF2 based anymore.another problem i see with general game IHS platoons, is that many of us frequent many different games, where as things like ground pounder applied to all games we wanted, this is game specific and could pose a problem.

What are you talking about Basic- I don't see it? Not to seem gruff, but I thought we should use a platoon identification letter in our tag in order to spot fellow platoon members. Did I misunderstand what you said?

The idea of getting a Irr general forum sounds good.

were not going to be using IHS platoons like black patches anymore, if we did then letters would be fine, but letters to represent the game we play is pointless, cos i for example play lots of games.
