Dear O Corps, stop being so Irregular.
I asked for help with the platoon system, but have you stopped to answer me-- no. One of you has floated off into unknown space (where they think they are boldly going, where no Irregular has gone before), another has things to attend to, and the other two have been like magic leprechauns never allowing themselves to be captured (let a lone their gold). Why?

Re: the O Corps are too Irregular
They need more fibre.
ANYWAYS, I think he's referring to SirShotaLot being MIA (dunno if he's back) and the rest just not being there to do their duties.

Re: the O Corps are too Irregular
Ikill is a bit of a Leprechaun, The Penquineer is lost in space, and Axis is off with family duties (like any good father should and must do).
And Boxcar got sent to the boneyard... he might not enter the service again...

Re: the O Corps are too Irregular
Pengie has an excuse. She's sniping people from Dalian. Axis is probably spending a lot of time grooming Mr. Twinkles, cause it's summer and Mr. T needs his mane trimmed (or a portable air conditioner). As for SSA, I dunno, maybe thats who i've been keeping locked in my basement all this time.

This is a nice opportunity for fortune and plunder! Raid the officers cabins for loot and liquor, and mutineer the old barge!!

Re: the O Corps are too Irregular
My Friends,
My travel schedule in China was very dense these last two weeks (5 major cities, a technical conference, 3 planes, and a train) and my internet access/time has been limited. I'm settling down now and should be able to keep up with stuff regularly in a day or two. Right now, it's a pretty arduous process to even access TG from where I am. I know I've got a back log of Irregs stuff to take care of, and I'm working on it. Have patience and kum-bay-yah.

Re: the O Corps are too Irregular
I'm still here and lurking, fella-me-lads, don't you doubt it.
May I point out that A. this is BeSeige's usual level of communicative clarity, get used to it--it's a lot better than it was when he was a SilverBadge--B. If there's anyone out there who thinks they can do a better job, you are welcome to try--and that's not just a figure of speech, I mean it. It's harder than it looks. C. It's very easy to see what needs to be done, and write a post about it saying that something ought to be done, but this is very similar to those who complain about the political decisions of their representatives and have never written a letter telling them what they want. There is a difference between leading and telling everyone what to do. A true leader knows that instinctively and does their best to do it. There is also a big difference between seeing what should or could be done to benefit all, and actually making it happen! My time with the Irregulars has entered the twilight that comes before darkness and rest. I'm sitting back, watching over things, and waiting for those who have the commitment, time, energy and vision to step up and take the helm. Penguineer has plenty of everything but time lately. Ikill has those things, but sporadically. SSA was a rock, but real life demanded his energy go elsewhere. I've done my time as collaborator, leader, visionary, coach, counselor, raving lunatic and pontificating windbag. I'm still willing to do these things, but only as a fill-in and only for a short time until those whose responsibility it is can come back to it. Except for being a lunatic or windbag. I can always bring it, if you need it baby. Don't doubt it! ![]() Remember, we are all real people with real lives, most of them full of all kinds of unpredictable things. Half the Midwest is floating or underwater this week, school is finishing up, graduations are taking place, and big boys and girls need to grow up and take care of themselves. The Irregulars have settled into a cyclical pattern of enthusiasm, organization, restructuring and activity followed by periods of quiet, where some things sink into murky depths, while others spin on the surface of the flow, allowing order to be shaped by chaos. We are on the waning of this cycle--the fourth that I have been a part of in my tenue here--and I habve no doubt that as Summer gets in swing, we will have a upswing in activity and a downturn in organizing complicated events--which we have been mostly unable to do anyway. We are a flexible, loose affiliation of friends that adhere to a certain mission and goal within TG to fulfill a vital function in this community. Platoons, badges, signatures, scrims, training and even the O-corps are all subject to this ebb and flow. Having or not having these things all in order does not make or break the Irregulars, no matter how much we identify with them and like having them. Life and the Irregs will go on. With you, without you, with me, without me, as long as there is a TG, Ig feel fairly certain that The Irregulars, or something very like them with another name, will be here too. However, to get down to brass tacks: If you like, I can commit to having a town-hall meeting to answer questions, give guidance, perhaps even make some minor decisions. As CO, my role is now to let the Platoons and Officers guide the Irregulars until you all are ready to guide this ship yourselves without needing me. We have some empty spots in the Officer corps. They only need to be filled if we have something for the Officers to do. p.vicious wanted to do things, but the problem was getting the Irregs to want to do things, commit to doing them, and actually following through! Now he's gone, and I don't think he'll be back. He only wanted to do the Officer thing if we were really ready to get things done, and it just didn't work out that way. The Officers need you to tell them what you want, and then allow them to try and guide the whole organization that way, in the right manner. Change should be coming from the bottom up, not the top down. We are here to provide structure, support, authority and guidance. If you want a training session, get the people together, find a date, and we'll help you with the server, instructors, communications and organizational framework. If it's just you and 3 others, and you can't find a day, and no-one else is interested, sign up for a TGU class. We're Irregulars. We are the most aptly named Squad here at TG, and it is the essence of both our strength and our weakness. If you want more organization and regularity, A. eat more bran, and B. join or start up an In-House Squad! It's really not going to happen any other way, at least not while I'm CO. Organization is not my forte.I'm just Keepin' It Irregular, Baby.

Re: the O Corps are too Irregular
Axis,
You often don't get a lot of credit for what you do, so I thought now would be a good time to say thanks. This video is for you...we love you man! ![]()

Re: the O Corps are too Irregular
Axis, I truly try to get the ball rolling, but I myself feel like getting the group together is hard.
I have plans for practices, trainings, scrimmages, and even stuff with the 11th, but until I get permission and decisions, I can't budge. Axis, I'm surprised you found this. I know that you have your little ones and a family to care for. Thank you for responding to my thread. I need to get some numbers and membership problems fixed, then we will be on our way. Guys, if you were offended, sorry. I had posted this thread after sending some PMs (along with xfire) to some officers, because I felt like I was being ignored.
