I'm interested in joining the Irregulars.
I have a work schedule that often interferes with common "play times" for the other squads and I don't really have any extra time to tie down for commiting them, just yet, yet I want to join an in-house squad because I have a love and interest for this community.

I feel the Irregulars is perfect for me.

I've played Battlefield 2 since its release. First, I should state that I've had a considerable background in first person shooters and other tactical games. My online gaming started with the release of QuakeTest and I've been through all the quake games, Unreal games up till all the games today - you name it I've played it. My first teamplay experience online started with 3Wave CTF for QuakeWorld, soon after I found TeamFortress and loved every second of it. With Quake 2's release I joined my first online "clan," DeviousAssassins and I've seen squadplay in Starsiege with Black Death Union. As you can tell, my online gaming experience as well as teamplay experience is every detailed and expansive.

In Battlefield 2 I tend to play whatever class the squad currently needs but I really enjoy playing as Support, Spec-Ops, and Sharpshooter (depending on my mood).

I'm not much of a squadleader or commander because I've never given it much time but I most certainly prefer to follow than lead - I find it more enjoyable, anyway. I'm not much of a plane pilot, either, butI sure as hell can fly a helicopter like it were no one's business. I prefer using real world tactics in the helo: flying NOE, fighting from Stand-off position allowing the gunner to do his job and utilizing the real role of the attack helicopter as an anti-armour CAS craft. Though, I prefer being a gound pounder.
Anyway, enough babbling...

Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, pleaaaaasssee let me join!

Welp, I'd like to join the Irregulars.

I've only been playing for about a week. So my skills are quite newbish but I do hope to hone them and become better.

I usually play as Support in fact 90% of the time that's what I play. But I do have a tendancy to hop around to different kits depending on what the situation is, for instance, the other night we were being hammered by armor and air units so I hoped in the AT kit and attempted to dispatch a few tanks. I got a couple good hits but I wasn't in a good enough hiding spot so I got killed.

Anyway, my work schedule sometimes conflicts with the normal times other squads play as well as my shcedule on friday nights. Sat-Thurs I don't have any issues hoping on for 4+ hours at a clip but fridays I'm usually busy if I work till 7pm. If I work till 5pm on friday I can jump on for a few hours.

I'm not good at SL nor commanding. But I'd like to work on that. I've flown a jet once and didn't too bad with it. I ended up crashing into a building with it. I can't even get a helo off the ground. Again, these are two things I'd like to work on.

But I do like the enviorment and organization of squads. So, I'd like to become a squad member if at all possible. Please.

Hey guys, I'm interested in joining the Irregulars. I played with Whiskey a couple of times and loved it, especially our defensive stand on Karkland the other night.

BF2 experience- Had it since day one, Master Sergeant rank with my main account.

Preferred role- I'm very flexible, but mostly I play Medic, Assault, and Support classes. I've had a lot of experience as a squad leader on the public servers, but limited on the TG ones. Not much jet experience, good helo pilot, good infantryman, decent armor and transport driver. Zero CO experience.

Hi rawhide, glad you are enjoying TG. Welcome to the forums. Seeing as this is your first post bear with me, seeing as you are already an SM i fear i am probably preaching to the converted but here goes anyway. Please read all of the community FAQs and SOPs, the link is in my sig. They may seem a little daunting but it is vital you have a good grasp of them to maximise your (and our ) playing experience.

Also, remember that you do not have to join the irregulars to experience great tactical squad based gaming, you can have that at TG anyway. If you do want to take this further then we are the people to do it with. We are in the process of setting up scrims and training to take our gameplay on to a new level although these details have to be confirmed.

If you are still interested in the irregulars and think this is for you and have absorbed all the SOPs, reply and we will get you hooked up.

That was definitely a lot of reading. And again, their was a lot of really good information in all of those threads (FAQs) and SOPs.

I'm stilla b it fuzzy on the Teamspeak thing and I attempted to go abck and reread it again a few minutes ago but can't remember where it's at.

The problem I'm having is getting it to work. I can't seem to figure it out. I also can't find the thread tht had the TG IP address and password.

I might just end up rereading everythign again cause it's always good to do so. I'm sure I'll find the information I'm missing again that way.

Anyway, can't wait to be able to wear the Irr tags and get me some more experience as I'm having a lot of fun with this game, more so than I did when I was playing DoD.
