Anyway, if you would like to be considered a role as an officer or a seargeant feel free to look at teh Officer's thread in the Irregular's board and PM any one of the Officer currently in position for discussion.

Right! I was poking fun at them. That's why I had the quotes and the wink. I'm sorry if you misread my attempt at humor to be a serious comment.

Re: : Interested in Quitting the Irregulars?

Can just anyone see the discussions we have in this section? If so, lets not air this dirty laundry any more-- we won't get past this point if we keep belaboring it and it won't help our image if this discussion is public.

Let's move on. In the future it would have been nice if someone had prepped us and given the Irregulars a few days to absorb this and help frame the public annoucement. So instead pointing fingers or beating a dead horse let's just suggest to the Irregulars: if you're planning to depart, we'd appreicate it if you'd give the Irregualrs a coupel days notice before you make a public announcement.

In the mean time, let's continue with our previously scheduled programming.

Well put and I concur.

Yeah, lets lock this thread. We should be settling our differences on the field of battle anyhow

Re: : Interested in Quitting the Irregulars?

Uh, I ought to post here since I'm one of the officer thingies. I always saw the Irregulars as a fluid group, and that some of the SMs would decide to graduate to an In-House squad was inevitable. Like Cingular said, look at the wiki: we're not here to be another In-House that happens to play less; we're an amalgation of various people who are here for various reasons, and the point is that we're not locked into this for one reason or another.

Then I wouldn't have cared less. But when 30% of a squad leave and it's some of the most active 30% then I can't help but feel a little worried for the future, that's all.
lol, if you didn't want to offend anyone then you shouldn't have posted it! You've now singled out most of the remaining active members and told them you don't care if they're here. Are you trying to get people to leave? I'm not offened by your post (though it could have been worded a better) because I understand where your coming from. I don't take any part in the leadership of the Irregs, nor do I participate in scrims, so me leaving wouldn't be a huge loss to the group. You might not want to be as harsh to the other members of the Irregs though, they might not be as forgiving as I am. (I sound like Vader don't I? )

Anyway, I have absolutely no intention of leaving the Irregs. It still serves exactly the same purpose I joined it for: to play with a consistent group of players. The guys in the 12th leaving will just expand the group I play with since I'll still play with them, but I'll also play with new guys that join the Irregs. Of course, since they're no longer Irregs, I'll have no problem with slaughtering any members of the 12th I come across. (So, Jimmy, if you hear that Cobra headed your way, you'd better run like hell, or I'll smash you right into the ground, again )

Congratulation and good luck to the 12th... and watch your back!

hahahah! It's funny - I always got a certain extra little laugh when I saw a red |TG-Irr| tag come into my sites - not sure why it's more fun to hunt down one of your own

hehe - and what is it w/ the helo squishing? two weeks ago on daqing, phil21 was up on top of one of those big oil tanks, he was furiously unloading his SAW into our cobra as we approached... needless to say, i had my gunner hold-fire

Actually, every time I get shot by one o fmy own I yell at the screen, "I thought we were friends *insert person's name here*!!!"

And ptegan, FYI our roster is a bit larger than that. And it's quite active.

I wouldn't want to get any of my own guys too mad from killing them, or they might 'accidentley' miss a grenade throw next time I play in their squad.

Why wouldn't I take every avaliable chance to smash people with my helo? It saves ammo so I can kill them again later. Those things on the bottom of the chopper are just there for hitting people anyway, right?

Never. I run on a mixture of adrenaline, nicotine, tequila and sheep pheromones. I am in no way a jabbering wreck with huge, red bloodshot eyeballs and a penchant for a huge variety of nervous ticks.
