we lost some more good irregs recently, i feel a post revival.

Aye. As the most recent mutineer of the Good Ship Ex-Lax I've got to say that the Irregulars are a great bunch and serve many needs. It gives a sense of community for those who aren't Supporting Members and would otherwise feel left out, for no good reason. It also teaches the doctrines of the TG community and philosophy.

At least, that's what I got from it. I joined up with the Irregulars almost as soon as I started visiting this site, and I've only been playing BF2 since February. It's also a goot spot to join up with players from other versions of the game (I only play PR and on occasion, PoE). Jumping off to other squads is just a natural evolution of the community as a whole and I'm very proud of the Irregulars and that I spent my formative time here.

That, and I've always hated the fact that I don't know pirate-speak.

And yeah, I'm not that great at pirate speak myself, but I do try. I just try to imagine that my brain was removed, cooked on a grill for 20 minutes, and put back in my skull. I find this approximates pirate behavior to a fair degree of accuracy.

Now, please, for the love of all that is plunderin' and pillagin', can this thread finally die? *laugh*
