Re: *The Platoon System IMPORTANT*

nobody said anything about the squad based platoons not being able to bomb it around in vehincles if need comes.

personally id drive mr ikill to the other side if ordered to.... no matter what vehicle...

and who said pirates cant join the other platoons... not only ground pounders is for pirates.

were just cool, and pound the ground a lot.

later

Re: *The Platoon System IMPORTANT*

If you 2142 players like infantry more than armor, go with me and the Ground Pounders; if you like armor and vehicles, go with Hatefullsix and the Black Patches

The choice is yours

Re: *The Platoon System IMPORTANT*

Yeah, don't ask us to place you guys in a platoon. The "whatever you think is best" is not only kind of passive, but we talked about it and I don't think anyone really wants to try to figure out who should go where.

Infantry is what most of us are in these games. If you're a pilot, you know it.

If you always play sniper/spec ops, you're unconvetional, and if you always leap at the chance to hop in a tank or walker, you belong in the Armor Platoon.

Of course, we all play infantry and use a vehicle sooner or later; this is more about what you like to do in-game, or what you'd like to learn more about doing.

Personally, I've never been a pilot, and I'd like to develop that skill, so I'm thinking of joining air and learning that to become a more rounded player. This is for you guys, for your enjoyment and growth as individuals, but in a group setting. Take advantage! For example, did you know that Infantry can spot for the Transport mortar in 2142, just like an arty strike? Hm, maybe I'll be checking out that transport platoon after all!

Think of it like college--you don't go to college and then ask "gee, why don't you decide what I should study?"...or if you do, you're gonna be sorry.

Off topic warning!
Dang advisors made me waste 3 years that way because I didn't know the difference between a BA and BS. I got the BS, all right (har har). Thank you, youv'e been a wonderful audience, good night!

Re: *The Platoon System IMPORTANT*

I enlist my services with the "Special Operators." That's because I'm SpeCiaL. At least that is what my mommy said. And my buS is SpeCiaL. Its short and has pretty red lights.

No, really. Covert Ops is where its at! I'm in!

Peace

Re: *The Platoon System IMPORTANT*

Actually, I am typically a pilot/driver in most of these kinds of games, combined with frontline medic after I get the troops where they need to go or am done shelling something to death. In Planetside, aw.. well, I won't go into that since it would likely bore.

Point is, I'm noticing a LOT of folks in Ground Pounders and though that is somewhat natural I do think Hateful's crew could use a few more and even if I do not spend the majority of my time in a vehicle, I do immensely enjoy driving and jump at it every time I get when I am not trying to play cooperatively with my squad (yes, I used to play like most BF players do, before finding TG). Its just, since I've been with TG and doing cooperative play, I find I rarely get into the vehicles anymore. Hmm. Perhaps I am just not being vocal enough that I DO like driving. That, and playing medic is also a blast.

I think I'll change my platoon, if no one minds. Sign me up with the Black Patches instead, please. I want to learn better vehicle tactics. I may still end up ground pounding most of the time (after all, there are precious few vehicles on a map and 40+ players, and sticking with your team while you vehicle it up with that kind of competition to get them is tricky), but I love my vehicles and would like an opportunity to get into them more, and get better at them.

Re: *The Platoon System IMPORTANT*

I'd like to join the ground pounders, if you'll have me. I do my best work with a krylov ;D. I'm very adaptable to whatever the situation calls for.. the only thing I don't focus on much is engi but I can make short work out of most with that class if needed in a pinch.
