Post Irreg forum location

Since were not exactly just BF2 any more, whats with being here...

Could we not be relocated slightly. 2142 is becoming the main game for a lot of us also.

Any suggestions as to a possible location, and anything from officers..

Is there a reason we havent been moved so far and is it a possibility to be moved.
I know its not important, but it might make sence to people. Make it easier for people to find.

since irregs is "special" in a way, due to it being for the beginners (before) advancing to a supporting in house squad.

we should make it obvious, and showcase it.. add a bit of fame?

Not so important, just a mere suggestion from a little English lad who has nothing else to do with his time.

Later

EDIT: I think we should still have a segregated forum to ease things... but yeah... whatever.

Re: Irreg forum location

I have always wondered this too but you cant say we belong in the 2142 tree either. Maybe being put in the Main Forums by TGU and having a sticky for the Irr in each of the forums is the answer.
I see this becoming more and more of an issue as we branch out into ArmA and ETQW and other games to be released this year.

Just throwing in a couple of pennies.....

Re: Irreg forum location

Two opinions for my two cents:

1 - Where we are in the forum network really isn't of a whole lot of importance, as long as we are here.
2 - That said, it does cut down on confusion and also get the right message across that we are becoming a much more multi-game oriented IHS if we are put into a more accurate section. I would recommend putting the Irr into the same forum group that the other IHS' are put, but keep this forum the only visible forum out of the lot, since we aren't all ultra-exclusive and SM only. The IHS' do have their own subdivision within the forums, don't they?

Re: Irreg forum location

Well my suggestion would be to have a forum link in each of the Irreg supported games, basically like how it is with BF2.

The Irregs are classified as an "IHS light" due to the fact that nonsupporting members are allowed to be a part of the Irregs. All inhouse squad members are required to be supporting members and that is why they are allowed to have their own private forum.

Re: Irreg forum location

yep.

But surely if we have it somewhere where the new members wanting a first try can easily find it, instead of searching everry other forum, which people dont like doing.

We should either as said before, have a link in each supported game, or have it in the general place.

Re: Irreg forum location

Oh, I understand, Drizzid. But shouldn't the public forum be in a more generic area given we are no longer BF2-only? Or at the very least, linked in each of the game menus we play within?

I'm not suggested we get private forums.

Re: Irreg forum location

I'm sorry Icefoxen I thought you were referring to private forum. I understand what you guys are asking for now so I will ask this. Whenever anyone new comes to the forums and they introduce themselves to the community 9 times out of 10 someone refers the new person to the Irregs is that not enough?

Re: Irreg forum location

It's not broken, it doesn't need to be fixed. People always manage to find there way here, like Drizzid said, usually with the help of everyone else on the boards.

If at first you don't succeed, you need more firepower.

There is nothing wrong with feeling something when you shoot your enemies... as long as that something is recoil.

Re: Irreg forum location

I never said it needs to be changed... not needs, but it would be a useful move.. make it EVEN easier then it already is..... its not like it would take that much work. Changing a forum location is as easy as changing a posts location, and admins do that all the time

Its just to be considered.. not exactly hard is it. Any admins please take note
