Talk Like A Pirate Day 2007 was a fine time, lads. Sure, a bunch of 'ye scurvy dogs were too lilly-livered to come, but I 'kin hardly blame 'ye - afterall, Axis' warpony and my recent bout of Black Death no doubt scared away many of 'ye.

In all seriousness, though it came to a slow start, we had a very fun time. We managed to get a 5 on 5 going before I left, and despite the low turn-out I had a blast. I think I like playing smaller games like that sometimes.

In the future, I think we should consider making a get-together like this a bit more open to others to join, that is until we can get internal Irr and TG turn-out higher - personally I don't think a password is even needed as long as we have an avid admin around that can shuffle people around and give priority to Irrs as needed.

We had to skip PoE2 last night, but it was mentioned we might do PoE2 on another night, so fear not PoE2 fans - ye've not been forgotten!

Here's looking forward to TLAPD 2008 - bigger, badder, and uncut! And... I MIGHT give PoE2 a try if we schedule it a night I am available normally (Friday or Saturday!).. we'll see. >.>

Any impressions, suggestions, or stories from the TLAPD 2007 "Summit" we just had, post in reply here. Share your stories of hilarity. I know I have a few myself, but I don't have the time to type them up just yet.

I barely made it myself! The turnout was indeed low, mostly due, I think, to my late notice only a week out from the day, and my complete ignorance of what to do with the server once I had it...

Apparently, you're expected to admin the server yourself!Though I'm a bit unclear as to how to do this, I'm pretty sure it involves using a kind of electro-wave brain modulator helmet and some minor surgery.

A HUGE thanks and shout out to Ikill4aliving, who saved the day and admin'd for over 5 hours straight, with some help from our former Irr brothers in the 3rd, Sc1ence and Eroak. Ikill is certainly showing how he earned his outstanding volunteer ribbon, and could make a good Officer once I'm too old and senile to keep him from slipping a dagger 'tween my ribs, methinks. (gawd, he's going to be impossible now! )

I want to be sure to list everyone who came, but I wasn't there much myself, unfortunately, so PM me if I missed anyone and I'll edit this post.
