I have no idea if this can be implemented in the game or not but wanted to toss it out....

For years I played Return to Castle Wolfenstein and it had the equivalent to being critically wounded just like BF2. The difference was you could stay wounded as long as you liked until a medic revived you (or someone came along and killed your body off completely) or you could tap the space bar and go into the reinforcement queue.

Would it be possible to somehow kill yourself off completely when you're critically wounded? Because there have been several times (squad reforming elsewhere, enemy is guarding my body and just killing me and the medics repeatedly, etc) when I don't want to get revived but friendly medics keep doing so. And there's no way to tell a medic in another squad not to revive you. Like I said, I doubt there's a way to do it but was just curious.
