Suggestion: Make mines sensitives to soldiers walking on them

Might add a little boost to the engineer clas, and open up some new ideas.
Here's a thread about the tweak:

Hmmm...very interesting...

...The only problem I see (maybe not that big) is that unconcealed, the mines would be very easy for infantry on foot to see and avoid. Now, if you could change the skin to resemble dirt, sand, grass, etc. to simulate it being buried....

Not to hijack, on the subject of engineers and things that go boom...What about giving engineers C4? I searched the forums for this and didn't see it suggested. It really does fit well with the true function of combat engineers and could help with base and bridge defense. This way the spec ops guys are off doing there thing it would boost the defense role of engineers. Is this too much of an imbalance?

The only thing that concerns me is that the mines in the game are supposed to be anti-vehicle mines. To my knowledge, these are configured so that they won't go off if infantry steps on them (what's the use of trying to ambush a tank if a random soldier steps on the mine?).

If the mines were set off by infantry, I'm guessing the engineer wouldn't be able to disarm them.

As for the engineers disarming c4, I think EA mentioned that one of the classes (eng or specops) would be able to do this. If they don't, then we may look into this more.

NaW has the mines configured to explode on infantry contact. Anyone who played on NaW in the run up to MnM will know that they were incredibly sensitive and you only had a 50/50 chance of dropping all five mines and surviving. Maybe this could be tweaked but i was thinking it might have a large set radius to catch the bigger armour targets.
