Hi, just had downloaded the new 1.3 mod off of totalbf2's site. While playing a SP match on Operation Clean Sweep, I was using the F-18. After being targeted by the Tungska and the flares failing misserably (mod glitch maybe as well?) I was hit with a whole barrage. At the time I was at about 230 for Altitude when I bailed out. However my parachute did not deploy and I was spec ops as well. I hit the water but did not die, which was extremely surprising, but I was frozen in place and could not move. Along with being frozen in the water the sound of my model still falling through the sky was still playing as well. So in other words the glitch is, it thought I still falling when I had in fact already hit the water and lived.

I belive this is a glitch with bf2 as sometimes collisions are not detected.
On another note, be sure to check out our server #1 from 9-12pm est on Sunday/Thursday for Tac Mod action. Its 100x better than singleplayer

For some reason falling into water, even from great heights, doesn't injure the player as much as you would expect. Maybe this is something that we'll change in a future version. I've heard that once you get to a certain height, hitting water has about the same effect on a human body as hitting concrete.
I've also experienced the problem, probably both in vanilla and Tac Mod, where you are pretty much stuck in the water and when you try to move it is extremely slow. We haven't really changed anything in this area, so I assume it's just a general BF2 problem that shouldn't be experienced very frequently.
There's also a problem with some sounds in BF2 where they will occasionally continue to loop when they should have stopped. Most of the time when I've had this problem it is with the medic healing sound. It seems to stop looping once you do something to trigger the sound again.
So, I think these are just generally rare BF2 bugs, but let us know if you are able to consistently reproduce these or others bugs and we'll look into the issue. Hope you can join us for Tactical Mod Night tonight, starting around 8 PM ET. Join a squad led by a |TG| tagged member, let them know you're new here, and hopefully you'll get to see what playing at TG is all about.
Bravo Microsoft, you have now surpassed EA in poor decisions and once and for all seized the crown for the worst 'Reveal' ever. That EA were standing there on the stage with you when you did it was...

It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
