Discussion: Battlefield 2 Tactical Mod / Battlefield 2 Tactical Mod - Feedback & Suggestions - 1.3 New Flag Logic - I found the new flag logic to be very stimulating
Imagine Sharqui construction site and
Imagine Sharqui construction site and the 3 buildings & the crane, its all within a fence right?
Well the flag radius was pretty much the whole of the space inside the fence, including all floors of the buildings.
When I played tac mod last Sunday, the construction site was a massive shoot out between 4+ squads,
you have managed to introduce a completely different "feel" to capturing the flag,
on vanilla its sneak/run into the flag, capture it from under their noses (as you're in the tiny flag radius and they are not),
then clear out the remaining enemy who have to respawn elsewhere (assuming theirs no SL near by)
This change you made makes all those vanilla tactics obsolete,
now its run into the big capture zone, and control an area of the zone & use corners & angles to pick off the enemy, until you have more than them to capture the flag.
I also liked the way that as soon as the attack is on, the flag usually goes neutral,
this suddenly puts the pressure on everybody and creates an intense feeling immediatly
Very interesting, actually changes the tactics considerably !
Great work and initiative there mod team.

We plan to continue to tweak the flag capture logic as best we can.
