I am just looking for a General feeling of the idea for the time! Reality mean getting true surface battlefields while introducing fighting realism to it. Remembering an Old movie that was produce in the 80 about a Russian group invading Canada from the North… I wanted to start a small pet talk on the sub-creation of a map upon which the background of this story could be produce in new time. Now the big difference between regular maps and this one is not the winter effect but the creation of realism within it.
The main idea of this winter ground surface would be to slow the speed of vehicle as walking personnel’s and create an harsh surrounding as primary ground effect. Give the feeling that soldier are in a Blizzard by reducing visibility on the ground and in the air to produce new fighting tactics following the BF2 Reality Mod and introduce new winter gear.
The secondary goal is to introduce obstacle that introduce the player to a patrol surrounding and a well establish defensive position facing the incursion of enemy force on an artic radar station in low hills mountains located within North Canadian Territory. The idea is to have a ground surface that push people to use the section tactic within it instead of forcing people to be push to play section tactic within a given ground.
The third goal will be to only have slow Russian track vehicle for the advancing forces for convoy movement and 2 Russian helicopters as airborne aid. While the defensive forces would be establish within a well camouflage protected base with in possession air defense artillery guns and underground bunkers.
New gears would include soldier winter uniforms, new track vehicles, artic skidoos, medium ski-track vehicles, and new ground warfare installations following known army vehicle within both real life armies.
New objectives would include an underground flag for the Canadian with 2 forward flanking positions at short distance from base. Russian would have 3 large areas with heavy spacing between them but with good convoy to bring them to the front. Distance between both armies would be at 2/3 of map to introduce the effect of ground coverage between forces and introduction of small numerous cover areas in the zone to offer easy “Peper-pot” movements with small casualties.
