zero point eight five
You cant revive someone with legs in a wall afaik
On Ramiel placing RP on the fire blocked roads covers the sound and also means you are effectively planting it in a dead end. Obviously dont plant too close
If you take an enemy kit and assume their appearance partially, use page down when approaching friendlies to call out and assure them you are friendly.
Ie. Your on the taliban side, wearing a USA SL kit but call out arabic when approaching friendlies will make it obvious you are not the enemy!
Use right click with the incendiary grenades to drop them at your feet. Throwing with a left click is unpredictable as they bounce but a very quick short right click will reduce the distance the nade travels when dropped/thrown
On the spawn screen, if you click your own name it will make your icon on the map appear in white which can help orientate yourself a bit quicker now the direction arrow is gone

Repairable gate
You can repair doors on some maps, use the shovel on doors looking like this:

Nice distance attack on Muttrah Mosque using the APC in the second half of this video:

I would only add in some attempt at cover behind a skip or whatever in case they try to counter with HAT

Re: 1 minute tactical tips
Using a BTR-60 right against the wreck of a stryker to get some vital cover out in the desert, my rear and flank is pretty much secured by the strong advance of my team forwards plus the devs have constricted things with that out of bounds area now.
Didnt get alot of kills but I think I kept some heads down which is vital with the open area the infantry has to cross from ruins to the gas station.
Also I brought this apc up myself and didnt enter the city as I thought that was high risk, no one wanted to join me particularly hence the cautious positioning, in theory tow could have got me

Re: 1 minute tactical tips
Since infantry members other than the SL can no longer spot contacts don't use the in game voice commands whenever possible, especially if you are moving up quietly. If you are hit and need to be revived use the medic option, or if you are under extreme fire asking for a medic or asking for ammo can be useful, but just using the voice commands will only alert the enemy near your position and will make you exposed.
SL tip: Using the observe marker as a reference to a point you are moving to/a point you are attacking is useful since it does not give out a in game voice command of "move here", or "Attack or defend this position." Just be sure to inform your squad members of what the observe marker stands for and you can continue to move to that position/set up an attack without anyone ever knowing you are there in the first place.
*I tend to do this as CO as well, so it doesn't automatically use a voice command, and upon explaining what it is to the SL he can then continue to use that observe marker or if he feels that he needs to switch it to a move or attack marker he can do so under his own discretion or i can switch it for him.

Also as a SL in a defensive position if a member of your team requires a medic or has a contact you can click on that person's name and easily move men or a medic to that position and also place an observe marker to strengthen the security of that area.
*Just be mindful that if you click another person in a different squad remember to un-click them or it could end up being more confusing than helpful (i know this from first hand experience)

Re: 1 minute tactical tips
Strykers should not enter cities alone without the support of infantry doing so will result in assets and points lost much more quickly than you think.
Strykers should have squads assigned to them, and those squads should be able to coordinate with the strykers upon enemy movement, but the strykers should not be relied on to take out the enemy, the mounted .50 cal only does so much.
Strykers and their drivers should also not just drive off alone, much like Logistic trucks unless the route they are taking is safe.

Re: 1 minute tactical tips
If working as Infantry leader of a Mechanized force it is important to be able to communicate well with your fellow team leaders.
When spotting enemy contacts for direct fire support via TS / Mumble
"B3 K6 troops with rocket"
requires a good deal of time to express. SL must open his map, place marker, close map, find target (large area), then attack
"Contact. West. 2 Small houses. Right of the river and fields. about 600m away."
"adjust *direction*"
"on Target"
Quick and effective

Re: 1 minute tactical tips
Lately I have been using the Request Reinforcements marker (looks like !) alot more. It is available through the commo rose. Because of the ease of use and that the marker stays on the map for a while, I use it as a Report Contact for the entire team if there is no CO available.
If I come across a firebase, a full infantry squad or any kind of armour I put the reinforcements marker on the map and type for example: "APC W of !" This way I do not need to open up my map to look for the coordinates. Friendlies just need to look at the map for the marker.

Either way, good find sabre, its a good movie, and in a sense is a prequel to Hamburger Hill in regards to the battle sequences/involvement of new troops to the battlefield etc.

Re: 1 minute tactical tips
Whenever engaged in a firefight, always seek cover. Being out in the open has a higher risk of you being shot. This does not necessarily have to be manmade cover like a barrel. Something like a tree or a depression in the ground is good cover too.
When you are fighting against enemies who are in cover, use frag grenades to kill them behind cover by throwing the grenades over their cover. You can also use that to flush the enemies out of cover and kill them when they're out in the open with your primary weapon.
Don't always try and make a headshot kill when using your standard rifle. It is much easier and more effective to aim for the body. Nobody cares if you headshot someone, this is PR.

Re: 1 minute tactical tips
One RKG can destroy Hummvw or a Logistics truck.
If you see a Hummvw and or a Logistics coming down the road pull the pin and try and throw it at the front, the side also works well for logistics truck. If you pull the pin and the Hummvw runs over you chances are it won't destroy the vehicle, but if thrown at the front it will destroy it.

Re: 1 minute tactical tips
I most often use RKG on infantry but it really needs to land right at their feet to kill though I think it can 'stun' enough for an advantage
With vehicles Ive found it doesnt kill unless you take an absolutely perfect shot and the rkg doesnt actually explode on contact it just has a very small timer so you have to account for a bounce when throwing I think.
This disadvantage is multiplied by high ping, high speed of the vehicle, hitboxes and all that
For humvee, ideal is bouncing it off the windscreen onto the bonnet or hood, I think this could make it explode. The blast radius must be less then half a metre I guess
Yesterday I threw one at the back of a stationary land rover on basra and it killed the gunner straight away but required another 3 AK mags to destroy the vehicle
This is a good video and good effort by the attackers, but ultimately it fails though I think the driver would be bleeding
