Re: Basic Training: SQUADS (incomplete, need feedback!)
Don''t think this is the same question that was asked earlier...sry if it is.
Usually the first thing I do when I join up is to form my own squad and call it HEADSETS or TEAMWORK (or something so the team players with voip will want to join). Then I'll hit 'manage' and go to invite players. In the player list, there are blue and black player names. What do these colors signify (alive/dead, squad member/lone wolf, or something else?) and is there a way to single out unattached players any other way? Also, on this server I've been just inviting all ppl with TG in their name... Is that bad ettiquite though? Don't want to step on other SL's toes... Thanks!just realized this was a little off topic but I think the Manage Squad feature could help the guide... ![]() |

I haven't done much fooling around with the Manage Squads features so I can't help you out there yet. Eventually I'll get around to doing the SL section.... As for inviting etiquette, go ahead and invite anybody you want UNLESS they're already in a squad. Inviting players that are already squadded up is considered bad form. |

Re: Basic Training: SQUADS (incomplete, need feedback!)
Just thought I'd sign up to add my 2 cents....
When you use the rose to spot enemies, sometimes it isn't able to identify the object correctly (either if it's too far away or you're looking through a chain-link fence). Instead it displaies a flashingn, red question mark. What you do is hit 'Q' to bring up the rose, then hit spotted with the RIGHT-MOUSE button. This brings up a new menu where you can choose what it is you've actually spotted, e.g. soldier, tank, APC.... You can't spawn on squad leader if there are no flags available. If for some reason you're the only one left alive on your team and there are no spawn points available, then request that the squad leader resign so *you* can become the squad leader and the others can respawn on you. |
