Graphics Lag
First off, I do not know if this is the right forum I'm posting in, please redirect me to a proper one if so.
So, my computers a bit old, and I get graphics lag when I play PR on certain maps, such as Ramiel (Lots of buildings, it is the one I get most significant lag on) or Fallujah West.
I've fixed it before, by cleaning my computer, except I did it in a not proper way.
My main question is how do I clean my computer without causing damage to it (i.e. what tools I use, how I do it so on so forth).
This is why I said redirect me to a proper forum, whether it be in or out of the Tactical Gamer forums. Thank you in advance.|TG-69th|Berlancic2

Re: Graphics Lag
Cleaning up the case physically, or virtually (harddrives)?
Posting specs on your PC, and your ingame settings may help to give a good baseline to measure from. Unfortunatly, usually the BEST way is to do a reinstall of the operating system, and starting again. Windows gets clogged up over a few months/years and sometimes using tools to clean your harddrive, registry, etc. just don't have the same effect.
Some tools to help clean up, I would suggest:
http://www.ccleaner.com/ For registry cleaning
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html For spyware/malware
http://www.oo-software.com/home/en/p...FQzxDAodYFZVCA To defrag (Or just the windows defrag tool)

Re: Graphics Lag
Whatever you say. I did this before (cleaning/maintenance) as I said, and my computer ran like new.
I'm getting a full upgrade (out with the old, in with the new) by at least this Christmas. It would be nice and would eliminate the lag I have now.
This is meant to be physically cleaning.|TG-69th|Berlancic2

Re: Graphics Lag
Well, you can clean out your fans, and heatsinks of dust. You could go overboard and replace the thermal paste as well on your CPU/GPU but unless you have a sandstorm around your PC I doubt it will do you much good. If cleaning dust bunnies from your computer makes a day and night difference something fishy is going on....
