Cannot login, Socket Error
I've got no idea what's causing this. Up until a couple days ago, I could log into Project Reality just fine. Installation is the same now as it's always been. However, every time I try to connect now I get an error message "Error connecting to socket". The research I've done suggests that this might be firewall related (which would be wierd, since that hasn't changed) but disabling the firewall did not help matters.
If anyone has any ideas about how to fix this so I can get my PR fix, I'd really appreciate it!

Re: Cannot login, Socket Error
I had this happen once. Took a windows reinstall to fix it.

Re: Cannot login, Socket Error
Found the problem. For some reason, mumble has started conflicting with BF2, if I start BF2 without mumble it goes just fine. I'll do some more digging...
[edit]Haven't been able to find the cause of this, beyond some arcane (and utterly random, given that it hasn't been a problem before) issue with PRMumble 0.5. Anyone have any ideas? Playing without mumble when it's gotten such widespread use on the server would suck.Last edited by starstriker1; 12-04-2009 at 07:14 PM.

Re: Cannot login, Socket Error
Reinstalling PRMumble seems to have fixed the problem
