Those cards, X700 and GF6600, is going to slow you down, I'd take either and X800 or GF6800

For the money definately spend the extra 50 bucks for the 6800 or x800. It doesn't have to be pro version but those alone increase your pipelines alot.

There have been reports that the nVidia cards run better with BF2... or just have less problems. I'd also suggest the 6800 GT and not the 6800.

With the 6800GT and the rest of your setup, you should be able to run everything in full.

That Radeon is a beautiful thing, isn't it? I have the 9800XT. I run 1280x1024, everything full except for lighting, 6x AA. I average about 40fps.

Re: Is my setup good enough to run BF2 on high settings?

Im running mostly mid setting with an X800 Pro and 1024mb of DDR2 on an Intel 3.73GHz Extreme. Should I up it? I have textures on high and draw distance on 100%, I just haven't changed the auto settings it gave me.

You should be able to have all high with that setup. With high AA as well, it looks sweet.
