Smile New audio driver causing preformance drop?

My computer has onboard Realtek AC'97 audio. When I use the drivers included on my motherboard's driver CD Battlefield 2 works fine. But with this driver I get no sound in Half-Life 2. When I upgrade I get sound in Half-Life 2 but for some reason it causes my Battlefield 2 FPS to drop a lot and it'll start stuttering a lot. Anyone else have this or know how to fix it?

Nevermind, fixed it. Apperently I also needed to upgrade my nForce drivers.
