    Corrupted files in PR

    Well i was trying to download project reality and the files were corrupt every time. it seems like everytime i download something its corrupt, americas army did the same thing.

    i've only been using this machine since december 2006 so its not very old at all. i'm hoping it software and not hardware thats the problem...

    What causes files to be corrupt and how can i fix it?

    if you want any info on my hardware i can give it to you, but i'll be gone till 4:30pm saterday CST so i'll just see what you have for me by then.

    i know i sound like i'm clueless and its cause i am...
    (if you can't help me i can still get my dad to fix it, but i dont want to bother him if i dont have to... he dosent need any more work...)

    There could be many causes. Posting your HW could help. I think someone had a similar problem with an nForce motherboard and the built in firewall. Not sure though.

    ok, what lets see...

    i have an nvidia 7300 graphics card with 512mb ram
    windows xp pro service pack 2
    amd athlon 64 bit processor 3.2ghz
    1.50 GB of ram

    nvm i got it, i just downloaded it to a different computer then burned it to a disk and installed it on mine from that.

    weird but if it works....
