    AAR: Port Bavaria 11/09

It was a cold day in Bavaria, but I was lucky enough to lead a top notch squad on an assault of the PAC Titan resupply port. At the start of the offensive, the commander and I realized that the rest of our forces must have had comms trouble because they began running around like lemmings. Every squad but mine began their assault at East Dock. After a Sat Scan, we decided my squad should take Central Dock as it was lightly defended.

We approached and took the dock quite easily, but a walker was waiting for us outside. I called for some engineers and hunkered down waiting for their arrival. In the meantime, the entire rest of our forces were forced off the East Dock and joined us at Central. With our entire assault force bottled up at Central, the CO and I decided to redeploy my squad to East Dock. Unfortunately, the comm trouble our forces were experiencing continued, and the commander was forced to rely solely on our actions.

By now East Dock was lightly defended as all the PAC troop moved to Central. East Dock was taken with little resistance and we began a push to Military Barracks.

We were repelled on our initial push and were pushed back into the Dock. We fought our way out of the dock and began to defend the perimeter. By this time, the rest of our forces had been repelled at Central and joined us at East. PAC shifted their forces to Military leaving only a small contingent at Central and Warehouses. In an attempt to prevent getting bottled up at East, I redeployed my squad to Warehouse.

We met more than expected Resistance and fell back to assist the rest of the assault on Military Barracks. Luck must have been with us. Even with the continued comms trouble the CO was having with the rest of the assault force, we were able to take and control the barracks.

I immediately turned my squads attention to Warehouse. After some time, and heavy resistance, we were able to take and control Warehouse. Our forces were once again repelled from the barracks, but were able to keep control of East Dock.

The grind continued and we were finally able to outlast the PAC forces and claim victory.

We were never able to figure out why the rest of the assault force was unable to hear/follow the CO's orders.

I want to thank my squad and commander. On this day you guys truly were a "Top notch crew!"

The rest of our team was more like a mindless mob. They had no desire to win, only to do. I'm just glad that they made such a great diversion letting us move and cap flags.
Best part of the round was being able to watch spiff get the best (and dogtags) of Deus_X_Mech. That guy was a royal pain. Great player, but a royal pain. He seemed to always be wherever we were going.

@Deus_X_Mech (if you ever read our forums): Thanks for playing at TG. Thanks for following our rules. I hope you enjoyed yourself, and I hope we encounter one another again. See you on the battlefield.

That was a great match and I'm glad I managed to get into your squad.

The stand at Warehouse at the very end was a blast too.

LMAO! Com troubles? In this case, that's short for comprehension troubles.

Nice plug for the TG way! It's really not hard to follow orders, and the result is so far beyond the sum of a squad's parts.
