    AAR: Monday, 12/3/2007

It started off like any other night, I logged into the server, landed on the PAC side (by far my favorite faction) only to see the end of Camp Gibraltar screen 10 seconds into my gaming session. The map loads up and it is round 2 of Camp G, this time I'm on EU. I don't particularly like playing EU on this map due to the stale mate that happens so often at toll booth, but tonight was different. Oh, the stalemate was there, but not for the whole round. Eventually PAC broke through and capped one of our back flags. Our team rallied well and pushed PAC all the way back to Harbor, they didn't pay their toll I guess. Again, PAC broke in and we chased them down, but this time they were more tenacious, they capped not one but two of our back flags and then all we had was Central Camp. Somehow we survived and took most of our flags back and the remainder of the fight was blur, but it was a fun blur. We went back and forth defending Central Camp. We lost the flag but took another, always engaged and never bored. I honestly don't recall if we won or lost, butit was only the first of many great rounds that night for me.

What followed (other than the mis load of a Titan map, which we quickly skipped) were some truly entertaining maps. The night saw the 9th pitched against the 3rd at times, and then against the 21st and at one point on Carebear Landing() against both the 3rd and 21st together. We were EU and defending Command Center, someone would yell "Watch West" as a sole hostile ran up the side. We would give chase only to find a full squad waiting for us. We'd dispatch that squad only to hear "Watch East" as a buggy flew by, the driver bailed and like a clown car, six hostiles piled out. We held off more than a few waves of attackers on Command Center, only to lose to a tickets in the end, but it felt like we won the round anyway.

My hats off to the 3rd and 21st and everyone else we met during the night, you truly made it a fun night and brought something back to 2142 that has been missing for a while now.

    *Edit*
I actually loaded into the end of Suez Canal, not Gibraltar.

Last night was frantic. I couldn't believe how many times I shot someone only to see it was either you, Heavy or nuckj. It was like you three were chasing me all over the map You got me some payback the last round I played, but thanks to some great revives I only actually died twice.

That was some really good rounds from top to bottom. Nice to see a strong presence from four IHS on the server all at once!

Aye, I said it last night, that was one of the most fun times I've had in months.

My squad broke through and capped roadblock and then CC on carebear, but somehow our whole team together couldn't steal away another flag from EU, so the rest of the round just turned into a mad mad dance between any and all flags for my squad. I think it was Ains, Lyra, Darius, and others who I can't remember right now for some reason.

Suez Canal turned into an incredibly epic duel in the skies. It was me vs. Lyra; Lyra won, BIG time, and it hurt. I could see what he was doing every move, but man, nearly all of it was flawless, he's a machine!! Heh, ask the 3rd that were in TS last night, I was cursing everything about him, and the best part was, he was there just snickering. The few kills Ains and I were able to pull off just enraged him further and he came back stronger.

All in all, one of the most fun nights in 2142 I've had in months; lets have another tonight!

Last night was a great time, I haven't been able to play in about 6 weeks and I didn't figure I would be able to get in with not having a supporting membership anymore, but I was lucky. I managed to join my old 8th brethren and I had a blast.

I can't count the number of times I saw the "You were killed by Lorax" message on my screen, I blame it on my poor gaming skills and not having played in a few weeks.

It wasn't too uncommon to hear "Crux is West" or East, or North, or South over VoIP last night, that's for sure .

There were some great revives going on all over the place. I can't count the number of times I would take someone down, take down the medic attempting the revive the first person, then take down the next medic running for the revive, switch to pistols because I ran out of ammo, get killed because I truly suck with the pistol, and then get revived and do it all over again.

And I do remember running into Catman and extraordinary amount of times, but I wasn't always on the winning side of our encounters . Was it you that tried to swim around us on Tunis? I was out of ammo and pulled out my pistol and couldn't hit for crap, until whoever it was decided to make it easy for me and started doing the backstroke away from the wall.

All in all, one of the best nights I've had in a LONG time.

It was frantic last night but a good time had by all. Lorax took a trophy from me on carebear and I didnt hear the end of it from my mates as he "did a little dance" on my body as well, guess turnabout is fair play! We should have all been wearing our throwback uniforms because that is what it felt like to me, lots of names you dont always see coming back to what is still one of the best gaming experiences on the net!

I know that I had a great time last night. Played 1 Belgrade and both Camp G's, awsome games. The second Camp G I was in Crux's squad and at times it felt like the entire other team ws after us. I remember trying to shoot someone at quite a distance with my defib..........only to realize that bullets work better as I spoke those dreadfull words......."fubar down". There where, at times, some other words used in conjunction with that phrase.
    Great times!

The best part about getting back there on Camp G as PAC is that sometimes the whole EU team comes to take you on. Sometimes you win, most of the time, you die, a lot. But, on the other hand, you have to hop your team takes advantage of this and snatches Toll or spawns on the back flags while you're "occupying," the other team.

You were out of ammo !?!?! I thought you were just toying with me!!! I figured screw it I'm dead, so I swam backwards to die quickly..... Next time I'll keep swimming.

I wasn't originally trying to swim around you guys, I spawned on our squad leader who quickly died and thought maybe I could sneak by unnoticed. I just wish I had FRAPS running last night.

Hey, I did. Sadly, one map was Lyra owning me terribly, then the next a lackluster performance by yours truly on carebear. Wish I had reorganized disk space in time for Camp G...
