AAR: 12-5-2007 - Camp Gib
Well, The night started by joining the map with only 50 tickets left and that one didn't get any better. Then it began...............
We(I forgot the Sm's but will add the names later-they deserve acknowledgement) squaded up and I started by having one engineer mine Toll, one Support drop an IDS in the back at Ruins and the rest of us where to defend the North East side of Toll. All was going according to plan and then I saw the writing on the wall when I killed Crux. I started telling the Sm's to make sure he was dead, knowing that he would be revived. Crux's Crusaders came storming up the east side and it appeared that we had held them off. Then, while watching the map I noticed an almost perfect line heading up the west side, I told the squad to reinforce the wext.
Then it happened, we lost Central............As we moved back to re-aquire it the enemy was spotted running accross the top towards the catwalk. Upon seeing this, there was only one conclusion, Crux's Crusaders where heading for our main. I told all of the SM's to spawn in at our main and take positions on the catwalk, head off the assault and stop them at all costs. It seemed that we stopped the first push, then Ruins fell. It was looking pretty grim.
I told the squad to keep trying to defend the main and assist at Ruins, above all else....do not spawn on me.
I jumped over the wall and headed around the battle, seemingly unoticed. Climbing the hills and trying to avoid detection, I finally made it to Harbor and told my squad to spawn on me and from up. We tooko Harbor, then moved to Toll, we took Toll and destroyed an enemy beacon. Then they came like bees to honey, the distraction seemed to give our team a fighting chance. We lost two flags that we had captured and went back to fighting on the catwalk, holding the enemy back and at times pushing them out of Central.
Allas, in the end, we lost the game. The squad performed excellenlty with everyone following orders and keeping the revives up! When I get home from work I will post the names of those that fought with me. WELL DONE!
The rest of the night was full of great fighting yet again. It has been an incredible week on our server!

I felt like the 3rd had some really great rushes, but we always got kicked off our flag eventually. It didn't actually devolve into the nade spam until the final minutes, when I felt like I personally found every single explosive device the other team brought with them.

MDFubar, that was indeed a fun game and you were an excellent squadleader and strategist. Hopefully I'll see you again tonight or sometime soon.
Crux's team was very ogranized and did an excellent step of managing to stay half a step ahead of us for [i]most[i] of the found. =P The battle managed to cross from one feature to the next, from heavy defensess to exciting catwalk fights to intrastructural warfare. Even though we lost, MDFubar and the rest of the squad did an excellent job of staying together and accomplishing the goals met.
I believe the round after Camp G was cerbere landing which was made us feel like we were facing an almost overhwleming force. They held us at the first cap near the base (Can't remember name) and pretty much held us there with rockets and gernades. Again our squad had some excellent ideas but we never managed to get to a base without a squad being there. Some of my favorite quotes from this round included:
"It feels like wherever we go there are twice as many of them"
"If you see my *** lying around can you please return it to me"
Though we did not win I had a good time trying and the enemy performed very well.
THe second round of Cerbere we tried to emulate the previous rounds tactics preparing to do a rocket and nade spam. This worked were a while until they pushed through and made it to our 2nd to last cap and then our last cap. From there things went south. We were almost capped out several times and whenever we capped a base the enemy would seem to be 30 seconds behind us. We never managed to reclaim our home base and the bleed we faced was intense.
After Cerbere I played one round of AL Tampa. This was fun and from the very beginning the squad formed a vehicle formation and we pretty much dominated all we faced. We made it to the enemies base closest to their UCB and our goal was to cap it and hold it. We fought off engineers, rorsches, a fully loaded Air Transport with pilums and mines, and pretty much everything that comes with a vehicular defense. We managed to subdue them and held the base as we faced enemies from both sides. At times there were two walkers and three tanks trying to take us down with gunships and troop transports stopping by occasionally. It proved to be one heck of a fight and though we lost it was the most fun I've had in Tampa. Didn't stay for round two but after playing so many rounds I was wiped. Hope to see you guys on the field very soon.|TG-Irr|Stickypanda
