Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
Heh, I remember that vividly Lorax. There were a few times where you and I would crouch aim and begin the 300m staring contest. I'd usually get like 3-4 shots on you and you'd hit one, run, come back and rocket, and I'd run away and Pedestrian would somehow end up dead. Never realized how ridiculous the cover in those trees are. Minsk is definitely my favorite "large scale," map for infantry stuff. Sadly, all the others are way too open so don't really open up much for this interesting playout.

In Week II, the 9th Mobile Infantry Detachment faced off against the Armored Calvary Regiment on the Verdun map. ACR decided to play a man down for both rounds. The 9th MID won the first round as the European Union by a score of 90 to 0. They followed this up with a second round victory as PAC with a score of 65 to 0. The final result for this match was a Spearhead victory by a margin of 155 to 0.

Wow great job. 155-0 is pretty impressive

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
The 3rd took on the 21st on Verdun this past week.
Round 1 saw the 3rd take control of Church in addition to their back flag. Content to let bleed do the work for them, they focused on holding those two flags and repelling the 21st's assaults. The 21st made multiple attempts to sneak around the back with a recon, but each time was tripped up by a mixture of Otus, IDS and RDX.
Score: 93-0
In Round 2 we saw pretty much a replay of the first round. The 3rd again took control of the middle of the map, and used that to dictate play. Their play was a little more sloppy this time, and the 21st did a nice job of isolating people to cause some ticket loss causing a slightly closer round.
Score: 69-0

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
Question for Crux, but open for discussion: Are you still using the Clark 15B and 12 RDX in tournament play? If so, how does it work out at different ranges?

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
Heh, the Clark RDX was only used on Minsk due to how big of a map it is. The Clark Shotgun itself is very useful on many maps.

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
The shotgun gets used on most maps, if we bring a support along. I played recon for this one, so there wasn't going to be any Clark RDX in the cards. Given the map even if I had taken support, a sentry gun would have been more likely.
I did use RDX though! Nothing like a stick of RDX on someone you just killed, then blowing it up as they come in for the revive

Sacrificial RDX lamb here, saw it on flag, couldn't do anything about it but close my eyes. Congrats to the 3rd on another well played match!

My nightmare is to arrive at a critically injured body and find an apm.

My nightmare is to arrive at a body ready to revive or at a flag ready to take and the 3rd shows up!
