Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
Tonight the 3rd faced off against the Mature Asskickers on Cerbere Landing. We were all set to go when they asked if we would play with more than the usual 5 vs 5. We agreed to an 8 vs 8, which dropped to a 7 vs 7 when one of their people went missing right before kickoff.
The 3rd started on defense in round 1, and was running a 2-layer operation. An initial contact team of Crux, Azura and Aruncado was backed up by a second squad of BleedingKnee, Arithea, GlobalWarming and pedestrian. This proved highly effective, as with rocket fire support from the second squad, the initial contact team was able to consistently drive their assaults back. They tried again and again to take the flag, mostly coming up the west hill and were rebuffed each time. Their one recon sneak attempt was detected and destroyed, and the 3rd ran the round out winners by a margin of 90-0.
Round 2 saw the 3rd assaulting up the hill. A two-pronged attack saw the flag go neutral on the first assault, then was captured on the second attempt. Leaving some forces behind, the 3rd sent a 3-man team up the hill and captured Command Center behind them. Squeezing Road Block, the 3rd was able to cap MA out for a final round score of 74-0.
MA were great sports with good attitudes. While tonight they didn't live up to the Asskickers part of their name, they were definitely Mature and a great group of guys to play against.

In Week IV action, the 9th MID faced off against the 21st TCIU on Cerbere Landing. In the first round, the Spearheads (EU) held off the advancing BlackJacks (PAC) with a final score of 59-49. The second round was just a close, but the PAC forces played by the 9th MID were able to overcome the BlackJack's EU defense, and ended with a score of 21-0. The final score for this match was 31-0 in favor of the Spearheads.

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
Out of curiosity, how did the first round end 59-49? Shouldn't it have gone to 0?

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
BFCL matches have a 30 minute timer, and the timer ran out with the 9th holding Command, while the 21st had South Town and Roadblock.
The second round, the 9th were down by a significant margin, in a similar situation, however we were able to take and capture Command with about 10 minutes left on the clock. Only one of the 21st was still alive (Drona, I believe) and he made it all the way to South Town. The flag was apparently about 3/4 of the way up when Lorax got on the other side of the flag, and called in LuckyStrike to take out Drona, thus barely getting the win for us.
It was an incredibly fun, and incredibly tense match that was very well played by both sides!

Super fun match. Last time I hide in that darn pick up truck bed! I'm pretty sure the match only had around 3 minutes left on the timer at the cap out, could be wrong though, there was a lot going on...

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
Tonight saw the 3rd face off against the Soldiers of Chaos/Surfal on Fall of Berlin.
Round 1 had the 3rd attacking as the Pac, as SoC chose to defend as EU. The front flag well quickly as the 3rd hit with a two-pronged attack. We quickly beat SoC back to Roadblock, and pinned them in there. They tried repeatedly to move forward, but we used their aggression against them and slowly pushed the ticket lead with some will-timed rocket salvos and sallies forward to take down isolated pockets of the enemy.
Final Score: 81-0
Round 2 saw the 3rd set up in Defense. Their initial attempts to take the front flag were firmly driven back. They snuck soldiers behind our lines once and got Roadblock neutral before it was quickly recapped. Again they snuck behind the lines, this time getting the back flag to neutral before the 3rd Cavalry arrived and sent them packing. In the end, bleed was on for far too long, and the 3rd came out with a solid win.
Final Score: 80-0
The 3rd keeps their unbeaten record in BFCL so far this season, but some tough matches are ahead! Should be lots of fun.

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
The 21st ramped up again in an attempt to set our record straight and come out victorious. Sadly, we lost the overall match by a score of 0 - 53 to the Armored Cavalry Regiment on Fall of Berlin 5 v 5. Both rounds ended as capouts, but the ACR did a fine job of squeezing us at Roadblock during the first round and taking a prodigous lead of 70 - 0 after the first round. We held the north and middle well, and managed to keep the flag on their first attempts, but well planned moves to the south (unexpected) allowed them to take Crossroads and stop the bleed. They then swept around us south and took Square. We defended Roadblock well for a time while being pushed from both sides, and the tickets stayed within 5, swapping back and forth, until some excellent grenade work took out our SL (FYAH) on the balcony and SM's on the flag allowing them to take the flag and quickly end the round.
The second round was a wash early, we managed to neutralize the flag 2-3 times, only to lose it back to ACR before we took it for good, and found ourselves below the needed 71 tickets by time we had secured it. Hats off the my PAC squad, who didn't give in, and managed to cap them after some heated battles at Roadblock and Square. Capout to us 17 - 0.
Fun rounds! This season's BFCL has proven so far to have a high level of competition, and many intense matches are yet to come.

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
The Clark-RDX? Useless? Who would ever say that??? I mean it's only my favourite weapon in the whole wide world

Seriously though, I haven't seen the Clark-RDX put to great use, so I would very much like to see an expert using it.
Oh yes, you prone, and just as you hit the deck you see the red and black mass in front of you, and know it's coming, and there's nothing you can do about it.Last edited by SharinganTH1422; 01-21-2008 at 05:44 PM.

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread
Week 6 of the latest BFCL season saw the 21st against the SoC/Surfals combined squad. First round the 21st started as EU and we managed to hold all 3 flags and bleed them down to roughly 55 or so tickets while we held a 35 or so point lead. Once they had Toll we turtled up at Central and held of numerous flanking advances around to EU base. Well played match by the Surfals, but in the end we held a 49 - 0 ticket advantage.
Second round as PAC the 21st took stopped the bleed quickly by neutralizing Toll, and taking Central early. The tickets were (again somewhat of a guess, was a fast paced round) 90 - 95 and we were down 5 tickets. Lots of action back and forth at EU and Central, eventually they took both flags and the last 5 minutes was spent holding Toll again, and forcing them to push into our defense. We ended the round up 38 - 0, for a overall win of 87 - 0.
