It seems I missed a week of coverage, so there are two matches to report for the 9th Mobile Infantry.
Week V pitted the 9th MID against the Mature Asskickers (MA) on the Fall of Berlin map. MA finished the first round with a 48 point win and the Spearheads followed up with a 33 point win in the second. The result was a 15 point victory for MA.
Week VI action saw the 9th MID facing off against the 3rd Special Forces Detachment on the Camp Gibraltar map. Round one went to the 3rd SFD by a score of 64 to 56. The Spearheads won the second round by a score of 13 to 0. The result was a 5 ticket victory for the 9th MID.

Yeah it was pretty crazy. We had control pretty much the entire match, and then they made one great push on Central Camp that was literally a last-ditch effort. 5 seconds won the match. I've never seen anything quite like that in 2142 before.

That was an awesome match, overall.
I had loads of fun, especially on the first round. The second round was more of a learning experience. 
(In many good ways, I might add.)
We'll keep the fire built up for ya in case you ever decide you do want some S'mores...

Really, there was a point in that first round where you could have parked your player and gone to the rest room only to find that nothing had changed when you came back. With the tickets so close, neither side wanted to be the one to upset the apple cart.
