Definitely some great rounds in that match! We barely squeaked by, that's for sure, but what's great is the quality of all TGers and how much excitement and fun is had in every TG v TG match! I was flipping back to earlier pages of this thread and reliving Crux's RDX shotgun of pain on Minsk! The horror!!

Thats funny. Last night while we were all playing the waiting game in round 1, I was wishing I had a Clark RDX to lob rounds into Central Camp. Would have been comical if nothing else. Really help them start that fire for the S'mores.

In another well played match by the 3rd, the 21st suffered a defeat tonight on 5v5 Sidi powerplant. The bleed can be brutal on this map, we did our best to hold 2 flags, and did early in the first round, but not for long enough. The individual skill and squad cohesiveness exemplified by these guys it hard to overcome. I felt we played better than the scores will show, but in the end the 3rd played the better match.

    round one 21st (EU) 0 - 3rd (PAC) 85
    round two 21st (PAC) 0 - 3rd (EU) 75

    Overall 160 - 0 to the TG-3rd victorious

XeroEquality and myself had a wicked knife fight at Reactor Core in the second round. He was shotgun irrc, and he shot his last bullet at me. I had four bullets in my Voss clip, shot them all out. I ran away to reload but he pulled a pistol so I pulled my EU pistol out too. I figured he was low on HP so the larger kick in my gun could take him down.
Nope, we both spent our pistol clips, both still alive. He pulls out a knife, and so do I. We go at it like wild dogs hopped on speed and adrenaline. We went at it for a good fifteen seconds -- everyone fighting outside the flag, us right on the circle that is around the flag.
In the end, I pulled a lucky swing and got his tags. Most intense fight I've had in a while.

    Good rounds, good game.
    Fight!

In another week of exciting BFCL action, the 9th Mobile Infantry faced off against Armored Calvary Regiment [ACR] on the Sidi Power Plant map. The first round went to the 9th MID by a score of 36 to 0. The Spearheads followed that up with a second round win of 31 tickets, which led to a final victory of 67 to 0.

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread

I have to say that both of these rounds were very well played by both sides. There were times during both rounds that ACR was ahead and had the bleed on us, however we were able to recapture the bleed and setup a very strong defense in the all-important reactor core.

The second round say ACR fielding what seemed like 3 snipers, though might have been only 2. The constant sniping kept three of us huddled in reactor core, and forced the fight into very close quarters. When able to poke our heads out, we took stock of the situation and I think that, in the end, our mobility and flexibility won us the match.

Re: BFCL 5 vs 5 AAR Thread

This week the 21st played the Mature Ass Kickers on Belgrade.

First round as EU - Our goal was to stay fluid, we ran two 2-man fireteams, with a SL who rotated where needed. We took Com and Statue early on and eventually ended up with Ruin and Statue. They did an excellent job of defending at Com, so we let them have it. Statue stayed mostly unplayed after the opening minutes of the round, with most of the action directed toward them trying to take Ruin from us, or us just probing Com to keep them legit. Ruin went neutral on us a couple of times but we held it strong with a 2-3 person defending team. The bleed is nasty here when you have 2 flags, and we ended the round with a score of: 21st (56) - MAK (0)

Second round as PAC was very similar, they took statue first as they were closer, but we pushed in and took it back. They like to use the beacon, and we killed 2-3 beacons at statue, while they continued to push us. Once they took Statue back for good, we moved to Ruin where our SL was at and pushed Com, managed to take it and keep it most of the remainder of the round. Our SL (MD Fubar) spent most of the round by himself at Ruin, and once sent 1 SM (F4-Phantom) far west around statue and managed to pull off 3 of their team. Fast paced, but again holding 2 flags is the key, and the bleed did them in. Second round scores: 21st(58) - MAK (0)

    Final score: 21st (114) - MAK (0)

Playing ACR last night, the 3rd was able to hold 2 of the three flags for the entirety of every round. Occasionally they got 3 out of 3 flags. They killed a bunch of guys. First round 75-0, second round 85-0. Much fun was had!

Week VIII saw the 9th Mobile Infantry face off against the combined team of Soldiers of Chaos and Surfals on the Belgrade map. Round 1 ended in the favor of the Spearheads by a score or 65 to 0. The 9th MID followed that up with another win in Round 2 by a score of 71 to 0. The end result was a victory for the Spearheads with a combined total of 136 tickets.
