Had a great time in the scrim guys

    1st round:

I was in Crux's squad as his Engineer which mainly consisted of chasing "Sir Bacon" around in his walker trying to repair him at Eastern Docks. My most enjoyable moment was when I rail-gunned a SL who had just crossed the boat from Junk Yard and turned the corner of the shack - the rest of his squad became a gooey stain moments after when the rest of Crux's squad simultaineously launched about 16 rocket grenades at the big red dot

    2nd round:

A big blur that sometimes congealed into shapes and noises

    Good times !!!

Nope, Battle Recorder is not currently enabled on the server as we attempt to work out the crashes and sporadic latency issues.

Yah that was a great moment. i love being in a very tight squad, and then charging into an area and wiping out the entire enemy team in 5 seconds. They never see it coming....

If anyone has screenshots of the scores, could they post them up in here, In all the excitment and planning I forgot to set up my Fraps, I did hit the print screen button though, alas no pics.

DaBrit. It looks like you had 19- same as Lorax!
I noticed a difference in the point spread from one team and the other. Lorax team had 14 players with 20-5x score.Crux team had 19 players with 20-5x score.

Re: TG vs TG Dec.21 Scrim

As amazing as a lot of the scoring innovations that DICE made are, they still didn't manage to perfectly capture the tactics that win games. Just yesterday I snuck a squad of untagged players past several contested points to cap a flag and reverse a capout to win. Despite the fact that our role was so vital (and my squaddies were so amazing, one of those random things that just gels), we were only the 3rd best squad because the other 3 squads just threw themselves into the grinder on contested flags and earned a lot of in radius teamwork points despite almost losing the game for us.

Score doesn't mean a lot folks, you know what you contributed just by playing your role, even if it was defending a flag against an attack that never came.

The reverse is true as well you know. If those other squads didn't constantly throw themselves into the grinder then pressure would've been released from the front lines. If pressure is released from the front lines then that frees up people to do other things besides hold the line which includes hunting for infiltrators. If they were hunting for infiltrators your attempt to sneak back and cap a flag would've been a failure. Its a team effort even if we don't see the direct results of what our teammates are doing.

The reason for your success could've very well been that the other team considered you a nonthreat faced with the constant pressure those other squads brought to bear on the line. If they removed people from the front to chase you down then you might've failed, but the decrease in personel holding the line may have made it collaspse under that pressure and cost them the front thereby pushing them back.

Score means very little in the face of results, but don't discount the contributions of the unseen.

Back on topic of the scrim, I know my SL (meatwad) took some screenshots of the squad in some poses. Post them please!

Omg, I didn't do too bad (wasn't expecting to get more than like 2 or 3, so I'm fairly happy, especially with that 2nd score). I'm sure I didn't do that well...Crux, have you been photoshopping to make me feel better?
