Preamble
The Round That Saved My Day
It had been a miserable night. Even after the server crash at ~11:15pm EST, the teams stacked up against the possibility of me being on a winning side. We came close on that second round of Camp G, but due to bleed fell short 0-26 iirc. Then came Sidi. I almost disconnected, but then I thought, "What the hell... maybe I can harass some gunships." So I hung around. I formed a squad of relative unknowns and set out to do some damage.
Denouement
We had a commander with a plan. Amazing for this time of night, but then again it is Christmas. He sent us to Warehouses. After a harrowing FAV ride (No, Lorax was not driving... I was.), we arrived to find 2 tanks and an APC on the flag. My squad did not hesitate and the armor was taken care of in short order. We flipped the flag and set our defense. The enemy had Power, but they did not enjoy use of the gunship for long. Remember, I was packing my SAAW with the hopes of using it. We repelled armor and buggies (and another gunship) before two buggies and some armor dislodged us from the flag. By this time the enemy was all but extinct, and the round belonged to us 97-0!
P.S. - My deepest sympathies to the gunship pilot.
I want to thank my squad, the commander, and the rest of the team for sending me to bed with a solid and enjoyable win. In my house, the first Christmas present belonged to me. Given to me by my squad and our team. Great job gentlemen!

Thanks for teaching me to use a SAAW draeh! You should have heard the awful things Reaper and Eroak were saying to me the other day on TS. I told them they shouldn't have chosen the other team, but they didn't listen until they were flaming wreckage.
