    AAR - Tunis Harbor - 01/08/2007

Can you say SHOTGUN? The round started with someone on TS metioning the idea of Shotguns only.........you know where this went. Arithea asked my opinion, as I was the SL, and I simply said......."we are here to have fun, shotguns it is!"

We began our assualt on the undefended Eastern Docks, with no resistance we quickly moved to occupy the ground accross the boat heading to Junkyard. Spanky was deployed and given a set of eyes, shotguns out........we stormed the boat. Meeting heavy resistance, we did manage to get accross and take a position on the NE corner from Junk.

Re-grouping, if you could call it that, we ran straight into an enemy squad. Shotguns blaring, Grimm must have killed them all twice! I found myself down in the middle of the street calling for a medic, to no suprise Arithea was there to revive the SL. But when I came to I had a SNIPER KIT!
So here I stand with a Zeller and a beacon in the middle of a Close-Quarters-Shotgun wielding battle.........I thought "OH SH**!" I saw someone coming at me, must have been reloading, I pointed the Zeller and fired..........he was dead. Point blank range I sure as hell would hope so!
Without thinking, I dropped a beacon and started running. I didn't get to far before I was blasted from enemy shotguns! Are you seeing a theme here?
With some furious fighting and a beacon almost on the flag, we managed to take control of Junkyard. The enemy must have been a bit agitated. The came at us from, what seemed to be, every direction guns a blazing. Between the grenades, the shotguns, and the.......RDX Shotgun(yes it was there too), I think that I did kill one of my own. I did find myself shooting at people 30M out with the Clark.
We where rousted from our newly captured flag and began the assault from Power Station. As we approached from the the south, I noticed someone sneaking off to a building and gave chase. I quickly found an APM and found myself scattered at the bottom of the steps thinking that I was done. Out of nowhere came Arithea, with a quick revive we resumed the chase up the steps. I watched as this clever person threw down some RDX, in an apparent attempt to catch us off-guard, then leveled my shotgun and fired off about four rounds.......probably three too many but I was taking no chances. Back to the fight we went.
After meeting very heavy resistance, I spawned at our main and quickly took an FAV. I instructed the squad to spawn on me, I know I can only hold myslef and two, and we headed to Junk again. Arriving in the south west area, after running down one or two pedestrians, I told them to jump out and take the flag. Two out, two spawn in and jump out, another spawns in. The FAV earned its name, I kept circling the area and became a "revolving spawn point" for my squad. As I circled the battlefield, my SM's kept spawnig in and depoying from different directions. It must have seemd like there where 10 of us.

All in all, it was a great fight, lots of fun and I had an awesome squad. I failed to mention the other conrtibuting members only because of my bad memory.

Great times Fubar. 'Thea was all over the place reviving and if I remember running for her life a few times and taking some of the enemy down when she could. The shotgun round was a blast (pun intended). I believe the Shotgun RDX was nuckj. He'll get his just rewards for those bambardments! The mobile FAV spawn point was great. Take down some pedestrians and have your squad come from all sides onto the Junk flag must have made it look like our whole team was assualting! Junk flag seemed to be the place where all the action happened as every time we got close all I could hear was the staccato of shotgun love!

I should really read this forum more often. That entire round was a blast! (Pun half-intended.) Using just shotguns changes things up just enough for it to really be challenging, as Tunis is a great place to rocket the crap out of people from four or five different positions. Great squad leading, Fubar.

I would have loved to have been the Commander. I would've gotten a big kick out of watching one of my SL's circling a flag in an FAV.

I'm sure the comment "That guy is nuts" would have escaped my lips at LEAST once.
