As the PAC launched diversionary strikes from Italy into North Africa, it secretly gathered forces in the Sinai Peninsula to prepare for a full-scale assault on the continent. On May 1st, four PAC Command Divisions flew into Libya to engage the EUs 6th Army Group. This left the 5th Corps at the Suez Canal without support when the Southern Command Group, led by General Muunokhoi, raced into Egypt.

The dawn was cold on the sand dunes east of the canal. During the middle of the night we entered the region quietly and set up a base in an abandon checkpoint. Command needed the canal to fairy troops down for a harder push on the Shuhia Tabia region later in the year. As dawn broke my squad the Lancers were given the orders to take the post at the old dry lake. We quickly jumped into the Fast Attack Vehicles and push hard. Upon reaching the post we found virtually no defenders. The squad moved fast on the command structure as I deployed a beacon in a safe area just in case we failed to claim it. As I was move to it gun fire opened up and two of us fell. Looking quickly I noticed that there was movement one the second story of the southern building. Opening fire he fell quickly, more gun fire erupted from all around the squad quickly eliminated all resistance and captured the outpost. I quickly had the squad take up defensive positions and wait for orders.

As we waited, the EU threw infantry, and armor, and a gunship at us. Command had a transport drop a tank and two FAV’s in the base. I quickly too the tank and started to attack the armor while several of my squad repaired me. After intense fighting there armor and infantry lave dead or destroyed. The rest of the army had taken point’s oil station, and trash dump. Command sent orders for us to move out to the inner bridge lock and take it. I commanded the tank and the rest took FAV’s and we move to the canal itself and met a tank and a battle walker firing at units holding trash dump. I opened fire while my engineers fires AV weapons at them. With in minuets both were smoldering wrecks and we moved on across the canal which had been dammed up a month before for irrigation of Shuhia Tabia. Upon reaching the other side no enemy’s were sited and we pushed the command structure as fast as we could. All of the sudden one of there walkers came fast across the bridge and started to cut some of us down. We retaliated be opening fire with the mounted AV weapons and mines. The fight was hard and bloody as the tank was destroyed, but in the end the walker laid in ruins.

The enemy started to attack fast across the bridge and a lot of my squad was cut down and the medics worked hard to keep them in the fight. Command told us to hold that position as best we could as no other squads were available to support us. After hours of fighting we heard a rumble to the west of us and looking that way I saw dark cloud approaching our position. When I looked closer I saw a gunship division and moving fast. I informed command and the order came through to abandon the attack and retreat to the titan fleet. Command complimented the Lancers for there effort to take the canal and saw fit to give them time off until a new plan could be devised to take Shuhia Tabia region.

They staved off Min-shiks army until help finally arrived via the 10th Airborne Division. Had we seized the Suez Canal, it would have severely compromised their ability to defend Africa.
