Yeah, the one from "The Longest Ticket" (the final ticket from the TG-9th scrim agaist SFO that went on forever...) was "Swagger" by Flogging Molly. The one from the Lyra video was CKY - Shock & Terror. The "Sniping Takes No Skill" video is Aphex Twin - Fingerbib.

I'm currently doing an AA one with Gwar's "Gor Gor" on it.

I had an awesome squad. I was able to split us up a good portion of the time, I could count on them to hold or attack two different silos at a time. It made for some great rounds!

Re: TG vs. TG TAMPA TITAN

Round 1 - David VS Goliath - ...or rather.... Lyra&Rage VS The Titan

Me and Rage were asigned the Gunship Squad. That didnīt mean we couldnīt cause some other havoc!

Shortly after the EU shields went down and our Gunship died I told our Commander over VOIP that we were gonna make a diversion attack on the enemy Titan. The point of it being to put pressure on the enemy team and forcing them to leave defenders there while we go back to silo capping. Little did we know what would await us...

Both of us spawned recon and we grabbed a Transport. (Using the Gunship to land on the enemy Titan would be Vehicle abuse, right?). We were landing on the lower deck. I told Rage to go to Corridor 2 and I would handle 1. I crawled forward inch for inch - always expecting an APM to be around the next corner. Surprisingly noone was there.

BOOOOMMMMMMM ! was the sound of the explosion as Console 1 and 2 were being ripped apart almost simultaniously by 3 packs of RDX. At this point I would like to have stopped the time and made a snapshot of the face of each of the EU soldiers players - especially the CO being cought pants down.

Like a dance we had practised 100 times we simultaniously sprinted to console 3 and 4. 2 Packs of RDX and 2 Grenades on top transformed the console into piles of hightech trash.

Shocked like the guy in Planet of the Apes we stood in the enemy reactor core. Our pockets were empty. All that was left were 2 APMs and 2 Lamberts. Rage planted the 2 APMs at the entrance and we began to hit the core with our Lamberts.

Just at that moment our great CO gave us a UAV over the enemy Titan and we could see a Squad of 3 or 4 people finally responding to our mischief. The first one ran into an APM. Our chance! I grabbed his Support kit and yelled at Rage to resupply and get on the RDX action. Another soldier ran into an APM. 5 RDX were brought to explosion on the core. The enemy was now coming in hard. Rage went down while I barely lived. I grabbed another fallen soldiers Assault kit and revived him.

Our epic run ended at some point. We got overwhelmed but the enemy Titan Hull was at 50% while our Hull was still shiny and bright!

We stopped attacking the Titan at this point. The enemy Team surely would place some defenders around their Titan so we could have it easy with the silos. Our plan worked and we mostly controlled 3 to 4 silos for the rest of the round.

Towards the end I decided to pay the enemy titan a visit again only to find it being almost abandoned. Ramming the Barrel of my Voss into the Titan Core while Rage gave me cover ended the match. With the enemy Titan about to explode we ran like hell and parachuted down while watching our own private firework above our heads.

Re: TG vs. TG TAMPA TITAN

What rounds, I think it was probably the most fun I've had playing 2142. Anyway before we start the most important thing to remember is Scary Rabid Pandas (or fighting pandas same thing really) = pure winnage.

I was CO while Rakkasan, Aruncado and Machowner were my SLs on the ground and Lyra was my eye in the sky (or took the gunship). I made a basic plan My SLs made suggestion and we had a plan, as it turns out a good one. Each squad had 4 in it, apart from Lyra's Gunship.

1st round as PAC Rakkasan took the trasnsport with Aruncado and Mach. Avocado was dropped off at the closest silo while Rak's squad spawned in on the transport and dropped out with Mach on silo 3, who's squad spawned in on touchdown. After the cap Rak picked up his squad and went to Silo 4 I think. That was capped with no resistance. We held our three silos for a good while. Boring work for Rak as everyone left him alone (they were too scared). There was a couple of small pushes on Avocado's silo, nothing too deadly I think. However Mach had his hands full and eventually lost the struggle. I think as we were losing that silo I sent Rak to Silo 5, easy cap. The EU titan's shields went down and Lyra was on the case pretty soon and before my eyes they lost all 4 consoles and half their hull. When our shields went down one of avocado's squad joined Machs and Avocado legged it back to the titan and set up shop in corridor one or two. We were a bit late in this as I didn't notice that my visual of the shields at the top was wrong . It's quite a shock to see about 1/4 shields left and then hear Titan Shields Down. Needless to say the kept it all round. We managed to keep 3 to 4 silos for the rest of the round. As Rak said in the middle of the rounds, they were my tennis balls. 1:0 Fighting Pandas.

During the break we lost someone from Avocado's squad. I decided to leave things as they were as Lyra wasn't going to give up Rage without a fight (original plan had been 4-4-4-1 when Rage was the odd one out) and he was in a transport . Much hilarity ensued as Lyra tried to barrel role for about 15 minutes.

Second round went slightly different, seemingly simple although it took me about 5 minutes to explain as it was 2.45 am and as it turns out Mach and Rak rhyme. Anyway mach was being dropped off at the closest silo, Avocado driving dropping off his squad and Rak at silo 3. Unfortunately the transport got gunshipped. I think for a while we only held two (this round is very fuzzy). I think at some stage soon I must have send my 3 man strike force (hehe) off somewhere. Mach got pretty lonely aswell so I think everyone more or less went silo hopping. One big thing I remember is Raligh holding silo two on his own from a push from a full 4-man squad with an APC, I was amazed. Much Silo goodness later there shields went down. Lyra timed his transport well and dropped a beacon on their titan I believe. I don't have a clue what he and Rage did but next time I Sat-Tracked at least half their team was on their titan. More silos for me . About now Rak or Mach lost an SM, 2-men down ahh well, life goes on. When our shields went down avocado was ready in wait with a 'nade in his hand in corridor 2. He saw little to no action for about 20 minutes I believe. Then our consoles fell like flies, but not Avocado's. We held corridor 2, had 3-4 silos for the rest of the round and Lyra making random pushes on monsieur Titan holding a good 5-6 members of that silly ninja team. We won the round from there.

I believe I heard mutterings of fraps from TS are we getting another video? Or was that Skull?

The squad cohesion was brilliant I had to break squads up sometimes but it didn't seem to matter. They got the work done. Also there was some amazing individual skill out there too. Me as commander didn't really see names.

A big thanks goes to Arithea for the time you put in organising it. Also thanks to Rage who set up the server, made TS channels and for other adminy things. In general just some gratitude for everyone who showed up and played. For anyone who wasn't there you really missed out.

Yes. This was the most fun Iīve ever had playing 2142!

Iīve recorded everything from both rounds including the part where I got kicked for saying "sh*t" with at least 15 minutes between >_>
And then I joined again only to be confused as to which team I was on and then I join the PAC instead of EU >.<

But yeah. My RDX went off alot in those two rounds, and Iīll post the links to the videos as soon as they are done uploading. But I must warn you of much Titan boredom since we didnīt have any contacts for the better part of round 2.. And as soon as I was kicked, they rushed Avocado and BC, but they held it

I think that Spiff might be a little annoyed at me because I blew him away so much on our Titan in the first round.

Thanks to Arithea for organising it and also thanks to everyone for making me laugh so hard at the end!

    Videos are up!

That pic is quite inaccurate! You can clearly see the red AND the blue Titan explode above in the sky

Re: TG vs. TG TAMPA TITAN

Very good rounds everyone, thanx for coming out to play. Let's just say that the best plans often get tossed by outside forces. First, I had no intention of commanding due to my lack of experience in Titan. Second, my well played plan was foiled when the person that I was gonna pick as CO ended up being the other team captain due to outside forces. So, deciding to use the rule about picking Admins last and knowing that Rage was the only admin...........I essentially gave Daithi1 the first pick. Then somehow it ended up uneven and he got Rage by default..........LMAO!
The match was alot of fun and I truly hope that every had a blast. Sorry we didn't do better everyone, but you all where a top notch team.
I kept looking for orbitals and realizing that they are not available in Titan.......HA HA

The Pandas did a fine job at keeping us moving and the attack on our Titan was perfectly timed. Unfortunately, I was late in responding and then we over-reacted and lost the silos. Lessons well learned, Great job Daithi1!

Thanx to everyone that showed up !!

I just remembered this morning, I turned on the battle recorder, or at least I think I did. You may want to check your BR logs to see if the rounds are there.

Yeah, I have the rounds videod, though I probably won't put it up because Cow already did.

Funniest thing is at the end of round one, The Pandas had a roving death squad of about 7 pieces of armor on the ground. Mach's squad consisted of 3 walkers and an APC, while Ara's squad had another APC and a tank or two. Randomly one of us in Mach's squad would go "Ah! Tanks moving in from the East!" only to realize the column was our own. A piece of enemy armor would pop up, and before you could even spot it, it was at 30% health with cannon fire and missiles raining down on it. I almost felt bad for them.

When Warmaster was kicked (the man in Mach's squad,) we were two walkers hanging out at Silo 4 just waiting for action. He was kicked, and suddenly an APC rolled up, and I was EMP'd to death, finally going down via the walker respawn. Great timing, there, War!
