    8th Mercs TG vs. TG Scrimm 2-15-08

    Please use this thread to share any war stories or your accounts of the fantastic battles that waged on CareBear on Friday night. Thanks to all that participated, it was really fun to play with the modified ruleset.

    Here are the screenies from both rounds.

    Round 1 was won by PAC or Team Predator 5-0

    It isn't. I remember that the squad was near the copse of trees holding off so many people, with medics nearby. Even though we died in the end, we really cost you guys some tickets. That was a great game.

    Awesome rounds, guys. There was a terrible mishap, however, at the beginning of the second round: we attacked as PAC, we came out of our uncap and commenced a charge at South Town Center. We expected the EU to be on the wall above south town. Instead, they were positioned around and in front of South Town. It was a massacre; I remember reviving until I needed to recharge, getting shot, and witnessing masses of PAC bodies lying across the ground in front of South Town. An accurate stat would be that we lost approx. 32 tickets in the first few minutes of play.

    We actually discussed this very thing in TS before the round. We noticed during the first round you covered from the wall and without rockets it was pretty ineffective. The decision was made to put boots on the ground at the flag and the action naturally flowed at those front two spots where the bodies laid.

    Rali3gh is right about that, we did notice the without the rockets the normal route of protecting ST from the wall just didn't work. This was also our plan so we made a quick decision just before the round started to put guys down on the ground.

    I must give the EU players kudos for having discipline to wait for the PAC troops to get out of the uncap. That uncap is so close its tough not to target spawners, but you guys did an awesome job waiting for us to get up the street before mowing us down.

    This just exemplifies how we as |TG| play the game. Well done.
