Horrible
I am a very bad commander as I've just found out when trying to command a game at Camp Gebralter (sp?).
I'm probably not going to try that again for a while, stick to squad leading six is better than 24 ;]Do any of you wonder what my first name is? haha

The only way to get better is to keep trying. At TG we tolerate bad commanders if they're trying to become good commanders. There are a couple guides floating around in the tactics section if you look. Don't give up!

Especially if you tell your squadleaders that you're new to the job. Most people (and everyone here) will definitely cut you slack if you show a willingness to learn.

There are plenty of giudes here and plenty of people that will gladly help you. Commanding is tough, I don't really care for it as I would rather be on th ground. Occassionally you will find me jumping in if we don't have one. Remember, a bad commander is better than none at all!
Cudos for stepping up. What makes you think that you did a bad job? If you don't mind, give some input on what you think you did wrong..........scratch that.....I will start a thread in tactics for this purpose.

Napoleon once said it took 1000 good men to train one general. I don’t think he always got a good general out of the deal. That took more practice.

Camp Gibraltar can be a very hard map to command, especially if you're EU (and especially if Azura is on the other team
). I was knifed three separate times and died quite a few more times than that while commanding the defense due to our loss of back flags. It's incredibly hard to keep focus and keep assets running when you're staring at the "You are critically wounded" screen. 
As others have already posted, check the commanding guides. Also, if you're not as familiar with tactics and strategies, I have a thread posted for each map (two, for some) in the tactics forum where quite a few people have listed their favorite strategies. Do a search on "Strategy Discussion" in the tactics forum; you should find them that way. I intend to eventually turn them into TacticalWiki articles.

Yeah, one of the squad leaders said "Com'on commander we need a bit more leadership."
and then a couple of minutes later he said "This game is over"...SO I was like...-_-...
It was late so I just quit out.Do any of you wonder what my first name is? haha
