Re: Friday 3-28-08 Internal Scrim

Good evening ladies, gentlemen and hermaphrodites! I'm downloading the battlecorder files right now and will have the group shots posted up shortly.
If you want to lend me a hand in speeding up the editing process, PM me and detail what your highlight of the game was. What kind of maneuver did you accomplish really, really well?
For best results, include your name, your team, your location at the time, and roughly when it happened during the game. This'll help me find you.
By the way, is there a bloody rewind button in this Battlecorder console? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
EDIT: The post-scrim Battlecorder file didn't make it in my list. Does anyone have the file handy?Last edited by Shurikane; 03-29-2008 at 12:48 AM.

Re: Friday 3-28-08 Internal Scrim
I enjoyed the round quite a bit. I have not been able to play in a scrim in months. Kudos to my squad leader bz55. Great job keeping a unique squad on task. Our squads task was vehicle control while on defense and walker support on offense. On defense we were all over the map waiting for buggies with emps, motion mines and pilums. On offense quade piloted the walker while was his engy support. He did a suburb job of keeping the walker alive and effective for most of the round. We really wreaked havoc below roadblock for quite some time.
Lots of fun. Thanks to all the admins that helped this run smoothly, but special thanks to lorax for being "the guy" for this one.
The best part really was when everyone thought we were playing 16 player verdun without unlocks. They started talking strats a bit and Lorax and I were laughing on xfire so badly over that....

Re: Friday 3-28-08 Internal Scrim
I was in an infantry squad tasked with doing something, but I forget what since I spent most of the first round chasing Lyra around the PAC UCB and much of the second round getting chased around the PAC UCB. It was a chore just keeping the assets up and Lyra away (which I never really managed to do).
All in all, it was an excellent night. I would like to extend my thanks once again to both COs, they had no idea they were "the ones" until minutes before the first round started. It's not a job that many volunteer for, but they did - thanks!
I didn't do much more than post a few posts and wait for everyone to show up
.
LOL... yes, that was pretty amusing and listening to people load in and say "what!?!?" was priceless
.

Re: Friday 3-28-08 Internal Scrim
Great Fun last night. Another scrim that brings us all together for some great fun. Always great to play Tg vs Tg. We where tasked in the fisrt round with walker support and reinforcing whomever needed it. Gotta lose some weight to keep up with the walker. My squad did an excellent job of following orders and keeping everyone going. Calling out contacts and movements.
The communication in this round seemed to be better controlled then befoe, may just have been me..lol. But utilizing TS for SL to SL communications was great. It made refinforing a position much easier and no one was double-covering.
The secodn round we where tasked with South Town defense, which turned into falling back to Command for defense. We did well in the begining, then it felt like we where fighting the whole team! We where eventually overwhelmed and lost it, but our team had countered by taking other flags. Even with the assests destroyed, our communication never falted and we kept the team focused. Another fine job by my squad in handling whatever came our way.
Two highlights -
1. Circling a squad on the southwest side of roadblack and coming thru the wall undetected, leading to me shotgunning at least three peope...and when I was reloading and thought I was dead, my squad was there to cover my a$$
2. A bunch of us trying to cut down a tree with knives......the Arithea slipping(maybe) and TK'ing me with her knife! I wish everyone could of heard that on TS!!! LMFAO

Re: Friday 3-28-08 Internal Scrim
That was fun, even though my team lost both rounds. I thought we were going to play a little longer so I never got to actually play, since I was commanding.
In spite of our losses I think my team was fantastic and fought very well but we were well matched on the other side and they took advantage of our every slip up. I'll take the blame for the losses since I am not experienced playing "the way it's supposed to be played". In most servers the squads require and expect minimal supervision and support. This is a lot different so at times it was a bit overwhelming, especially because I never really got into organized tactics because on other servers it's pretty much pointless...everyone just does what they please anyhow and any organized squad will upset the balance. Here it's different and I'm not up to speed yet.
The other problem is that English is my third language so communicating something quickly and accurately can be a bit of an issue sometimes.
Next time I'll stick to being a SM.

You did a great job and it was a blast. I agree that playing this way is kind of strange compared to were we come from but I think that this is a MUCH more enjoyable way to play. Oh and cut the crap about your English I have heard you rip with the best of them on Oman so chalk it up to show time jitters. I would be on any team or in any squad with you in a second. Once again you did a great job and I'll see you on the dirt soon...JJ

Hey, who's got the teamspeak sound file? I'm splicing the video together right now and I need the TS reactions if I want to make everything go along together.

just wanted to say thanx for ruining the game for me!
now if i cant get on the TG sever its almost not worth playing.
