Shockwave week 9 - post match

EU pulls another Titan win! Probably the quickest Shockwave match yet, and well played by both teams. EU seemed to be everywhere at once. Post your thoughts and comments.

when vinman wasnt teamkilling everyone between rounds he makes for a pretty good squad leader. all out assault on the titan when the shields went down and i felt like the only medic there, revives left and right. and whoever was flying the pac gunship was unmerciful on our squad. just hovering in circles around us while we went on foot to silo 1. note to other players, trees do not provide adequate cover from the gunship.

    GREAT MATCH guys
The teamwork and silo capping-quickness was outstanding, congrats.
For the guy in the PACs gunship: How do you fly that fing so well? really, you didnt give us a chance when you where around and probably you were one of the key asets of the PAC team.
For my squad: great planning and movility we need to keep fighting like this and we will win more matches.

The PAC gunship is extremely powerful against infantry. Its gun has a surprizing splash damage when it comes to shooting people from behind cover.

Perfect execution on the EU team's part. They performed good silo redirection, and the squads pulled off some fights I thought were very difficult to survive.

I'm fairly sure Smachin was the gunship pilot and DaBrit was his gunner. One of the highlights of our match for PAC. The attack on our Titan was well played, I knew the shields were close, let my SL know it would be soon, but held off calling them back due to EU pushing us so hard as the Silos. We had only a couple people on our Titan during the initial push. Again, well played by the EU folks.

I guess that this was the quickest shockwavematch we played! Looks like EU is pushing even harder now

Re: Shockwave week 9 - post match

I know it sounds like another excuse.....I suppose it is but.....

When I installed the 1.5 Beta it somehow reset...or changed my video settings!

I never really noticed in other brighter maps but by God did I notice it in the Shockwave match!! Everything looked dark. PAC and EU soldiers looked the same to me. I'm certain I TK'd at least once if not more! When we all grouped up for the photo at the end, it just looked like one big gathering of PAC soldiers. In hindsight I should have took a screenshot to show how bad it was.

I noticed fairly early on in the match that there was going to be a big problem, but reloading wasn't an option. By the time I reset the video settings and reloaded the map the game would have been over.

So I came up with a solution.....Point at someone for long enough and the HUD tells me friend or foe. It was the best I could come up with. If they saw me first I died. I was my usual panic ridden self and it took me a while to adjust to this style. If the background was dark i.e. not sky or something else bright I couldn't even see players coming up to me!

I was at a huge disadvantage and the whole round sucked and blowed at the same time.

I found a smilie that shows exactly how I felt for the whole round...................yes......blind!!

But now I have sorted all my settings and I shall be back with an axe to grind!
