I think it is a nice balance the way it is now. I never used smoke before the 1.4 patch. Since then I carry smoke roughly 75% of the time.

another factor in smoke is that it taxes clients hardware greatly, so game makers have a trade off and they tend to trade down smoke for prettier surroundings etc. Thats why smoke doesnt cover much ground and disappears quickly

Nicely done sc1ence, great squad leading. Nice use of smoke nades and loved the knifing after you had to reload w/ the voss on the flag. Smoke nades are great for Camp G, I've revived a lot of people due to those great things

i especially liked the squad beacon on the ship container surrounding harbor....now, I know this tactic and can be a little more prepared.....next time i see smoke flying left and right, i'll order my squad to blow the rdx on the flag...hehe

half the time I tell my squad were going down the center two seconds later I see

XXXX has left your squad
YYYY has left your squad
zzzz has left your squad

ME: three is good enough. what a bunch of pansies.
Loyal Squad member: hell yeah. Lock and load.

On another note, I have yet to go down the center with a full squad and have it fail. It's just so easy, less choke points, less expected, short run and that flag drops so fast.

Except I don't use smoke grenades, i land clear the area in front of my with a volley of regular nades to thin out the enemy.
