    Suez Canal Titan hallway defense

Just noticed Big-Eye's AAR from the same map a few days back. Seems more than one great match for TG Titan!

So it was our 2nd or 3rd round of the night. The previous 2 rounds we got smacked hard, the first was one of the fastest losses on Carebear I've seen, then we put up a good fight on Belgrade only to lose by 100 tickets or so. As the third round starts Grimm calls out "bet on Titan", he was correct. Suez Titan was our next victim. There were few TG guys on server, and only 3 for the previous round for our side. I assume it's another uphill fight, I start a squad and let them know we'll be moving back to the Titan to set up the TG patented 4 man hallway defense. 2 Assaults (Rockets) / 2 Supports (Ganz) and no grenades.

We fought hard at dry lake, and at a couple of points held it as our only silo. My squad was taking it pretty hard on the chin, but held up and kept pushing back. Once we lost the silo we bounced around where we could until just about time for our shield to fall. Once I setup D on the hallway and called for my guys to spawn in, the other side still had more than half of their shield and were holding 3-4 of the 5 silos most of the time. We assumed another loss, but kept our heads up. I told my guys "we may lose, but we will not lose by Titan destruction." It started slowly, the other team seemed to know that all they needed was to keep silo's. We had 3 or 4 of the 4 total squads on Defense on the Titan even though my squad was named "HallDef". I graciously asked the commander to please send all the other squads to the ground and told him with visions of William Wallace in my head that we would hold our console at all costs. After about 6-8 minutes we had a couple of guys itching to move on, there just wasn't enough action here. I told 2 to go ahead, hit the ground, get a buggy or transport and hit the undefended silos. Slowly with their work and the aggresiveness of the other squads we took all the silos back. The Titans slowly started to get close to even damage. Could we actually pull this off?

So here we are, a chance to win. We're down to only 4 defenders in the hall with a smattering of solo guys running around defending our Titan. We lose 1 guy to d/c, we're down to 3. At one point it's just Grimm and I holding our ground. We eventually get pushed off. Not sure how many rushed the hall, but at least 4-5 guys manage to get in and blow the 3rd console. I ask for a respawn and quick move to the upper corridor. Harder to defend, grenades can kill the console, but it's our only chance. By now the Titans are getting close to even damage, we have most of the silo's, and attackers on board their Titan killing consoles. Our Titan gets down so low that I can't even see the blue health line. Needless to say, their Titan goes boom. I'm still not sure wether a missile finally killed it, or we tagged their reactor. Great game (again) on the TG server. One of the biggest comebacks I've seen on Titan. Kudos to my squad and the entire EU side, well played!

Some of the more epic battle stories I've seen/heard/told have been on Titan matches. There's always alot going on and there's so many things you have to keep track of.

Awesome job on defense, wish I was there to help out. <3 Titan Def

That was a great comeback by EU. FYAH called for a return to Titan so those of us on the ground pushed for silo 3 with a buggy and tank. We took the silo (undefended) and ended up with no opposition for what seemed like critically long minutes. I watched as our Titan took multiple hits from silo rockets wondering if a hall defense would be needed. Finally PAC came at us and took out our 3 man defense and we were able to spawn in on SL and that's when the real fun began. Great round fellow squaddies. Well done by our silo stealing half of the squad. Without you guys grabbing silos back we would not have had a chance to wreak hallway havoc!

That was a great game, I thought for sure we were goners after I got disconnected.
I got back for the last minute or 2, I wish every titan round played like that.
